You can trade goods such as food, stone and wood with other players by using your market. Just ask other players and send the card with the goods to trade.

There is also an event called The Resource Barterer. This is shown as a tent next to your castle. When you click on the tent you see what you can trade for what. This tent appears random at your castle see also the link with more information.
