are your soldiers gone, lost or missing after the update? ok.. i will share some tip.
since GGS don't have the solution yet for the missing troops specially after the update i tried to observe things before and after the update, i noticed that troops gone missing if you sent them out just before the update. my advise is DONT SEND YOUR TROOPS OUT IF THERE IS AN UPDATE COMING. MAKE IT SURE THAT THEY ARE IN YOUR PLACE/CASTLE/OUTPOST WHEN THE UPDATE IS HAPPENING.

Hi pugsley,
Acutally that is wrong. The update has nothing to do with the troops going missing.
At the moment there is NOTHING a player can do to prevent it happening. We are still searching for the bugs. if any information does become available to help prevent it occuring it will of course be shared with the community.

after giving attack if i log out, my soldiers dont come back to their castle..

This is a bug. Go to the "technical problems & bugs" section of the forum and look at the stickied threads.

I attack all the time. Even when im offline. I dont lose soldiers. so thats kida falsei dont think this works

I just lost 75 men and I\m only level 7. Trust me it's true. Dont do it my structures got built but my men decipeared. I checked the log to vmake sure i didn't lose them in battle but I didn;t they just vanishied leaving me with nothing, and they ask for money on this game if it is unreliable! SUCK IT!!!!!

i have lost over 200 troops from sending men out and they don't return please someone do something or i shall quit this game i am very dissapointed in it i have bought over 10 000 rubies which is alot of money and in return i lose over 200 troops

i sent out 800 troops on a mission including marauders which i hired by giving resources today. They are all gone. it takes lot of gold, time and resources to build 800 troops. To loose them is very disappointing. i think you need to stop new game updates for now and sort out the big issues.

I lost over 140 traveling soldiers and 200 marauders over a month ago and i conatacted support but they haven't done anything about it. I was offline when it happened and the army left from my outpost post victory 2.

I believe "update" has caused it
when i relogin ... ( off due to crash )
the game does not give me a daily login bonus..
it means game is doing some "update" or "backup"..etc
otherwise, they will not give me a login bonus...it is clearly "game" is doing something and re-assess (may be daily update)
when i try to send amry out for the treasure hunt in the map
i find missing troops and those troops a in the "returning home" after hitting a rbc
so i think
it is possible

CM Malreyn already responded. And besides, this thread is a complete and utter waste of time, so why would a mod have to say anything? There have already been numerous threads made in the correct section of the forum, and dozens of posts from mods on those threads.

I had the same problem, i didn't even got a message that my troups arrive at my enemy's place 
someone in my alliance lost over 500 units already! :O
I also noticed that pieces of the traveing knights and now deserters on the glacier are missing: i collected 5 and bought 3, now i only have 2 left :S
I really hate this!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All,
I'm going to lock this thread since it serves no purpose. THere is nothing that you can do as a player to prevent the bug occuring. it is random and we are still investigating it. Updates will be provided as and when we have then via the sticky thread in the bug forum.
