how do i buy stone not makking it quick enuf

To "buy" stone you have to wait for the travelling marchant to come and buy it with rubies, also you can trade stone for resources with the barterer, buy one of the packs that give you a fixed amount of stone, or you can increase the production of stone buying an Overseer for this resource at the king's market for 1 week
