what is the trick of making a great outpost what should i do first should i get a wood or stone or food outpost ? help

Always get Shinny food out post (8food) the set up should be 2 8food-2stone and one 8food-2wood outpost. This is the best for endgame, besides having a lot of food production equal having a big army.

muslimofpeace is right so when you get to lvl.31 you can get an outpost of whatever res needed most

How many woodcutters/stone masons do y'all advice in a 8 food outpost? And how many farms? I've been going with 16 farms and 8 of the other.

Also, how do y'all feel about moats at the outpost?

I am wondering the same thing. With diminishing returns after a certain point, is there an optimal amount of farms, woodcutters, and stone masons at an 8 food outpost?

i usually just get a out post for each recource so they can support themselves

It is always good to be able to feed lots of soldiers at at least 2 of your 3 outposts. otherwise you may risk your honour being looted.

Actually for a first outpost wood is much more useful, as that's the resource you need more of at low levels. If you are intending to play this game for a long time then you should probably get food/wood, 8 food if possible, 6 food if not, but if you don't develop your outpost too much then you can easily change for another later.

Also 2 x food/wood 1 x food/stone is fine for endgame, since you need a lot of wood for tools and once you have built everything there is to build you actually need more wood than stone again.

My first outpost was 8 wood/2 food, then 8 stone/2 food. After getting my third (8 food/2 wood) I changed the other outposts for 8 food as well, but those extra resources were really useful when I was levelling up. It was only when I was over lv30 and had a lot of honour that I decided I would need the extra food to sustain a bigger army. Think about how serious a player you are and whether you are playing this game for fun (in which case wood and stone outposts are fine) or have serious intentions of making it to the top, in which case you should work towards 3 x food outposts.

As for the optimum number of buildings, I've seen people suggest totals but in my opinion once you get down to about 23% occupancy rate it's not really worth building more.

well i have a stone outpost 8 stone 2 wood 8 food 2 wood and 8 food 2 stone and im on world 2 with 1600 honor and on the top ten team bsk 4 i think i have almost made it lol

build quarries/woodcutters/farms until occupation dips below 45 percent.as your productivity increases, so will per hour resource. im squezzing 200 per hr stone out of a 2 stone outpost at level 25 with quarries at level 4.. your first outpost should always be what your deficient in at the time so you can expand faster. when i captured first outpost i was currently set for wood and stone, but my troops had 24 hrs left of food, so i went with food stone.Always have one outpost with high food, its always best to have two standing armies.

upgrade your outposts as much as possible. if thier self sufficient they wont strian your ambitions.
