Say that another player captures my outpost do the buildings stay there or does the new player have to start over from scratch.

Also if a player steals my outpost and I recapture it are my buildings still there or did I take it back for nothing?

your buildings are still tthere but some are on fire or rubble

true i captured a wood outpost cuz their werent any others near me and i got some buildings their that i wouldnt have gotton for another 5 lvs otherwise

Yes; if you can occupy your outpost for 1 day, it is yours. However, some of the buildings will be one fire and some will be rubble, which you will have to demolish. If you recapture and outpost that was taken from you, then even more buildings will turn to rubble, and you will have more fire.

P.S. I actually started in January, 2011. The system is slightly faulty.
