What is the secret to moving your castle, I have tried 3 times, and still haven't figured it out. I pick a spot click the emial to tell me when it ready, then when i log back on i have to do the whole thng over again. So i find one and I am on line when time runs out and it go to deleteing account. Hour later i have to go when i come back the ruins are gone and i have to start over. Is there some trick to this or whats up with moving.

You can move once, then it cost rubies.

Thanks for those links Wiz Fighter, but they are not that helpful.

There must be someone who has figured out how to move into a ruin that is "Waiting to be deleted" BEFORE a new player level 5 castle pops up there.

I managed to do so. First try too. Moving is based on chance. You have to time it right before another new player gets there.

I'd be interested to know how you got it on your first try! lol

Either you are very fortunate, moved at a time when the game wasn't getting a ton of new players, or you figured out how to time it so you got the spot before the game gave it to a new player....or all the above...

I have tried 14 times, sitting there waiting for the timer to get to zero....then spam the ruin with mouse clicks trying to squeeze in before it's given to a new player. But each time it just stays at "deleting" mode (between 5 -35 minutes)...and then suddenly there is an error message, and a new level 4 - 6 castle appears.

I posted this in another thread, but figured I'd move it here to the "Tips and Tricks" thread:

Moving one's castle is a far greater hassle than it should be. Something that I hope is fixed in the near future.

While it is a total pain, I finally figured out the way to move your castle and beat the new castle "pop-ups"

Step 1: Find the location you want and note (memorize) the six digit coordinates. It is also good to have one or two back up sites....the following method isn't 100% full proof.

Step 2: Wait and watch for the countdown timer to get to zero, and the ruin to enter the "Waiting to be deleted" phase.

Step 3: After about 5 - 10 minutes....start this process:

Step 4: Click the "Refresh" on your computer screen (usually right next to the address bar)

Step 5: once your game comes back up, click to remove the annoying news window

Step 6: go to your "Economy" tab, up to "Management" and click. In the pop-up window select the "Relocate Main Castle"

Step 7: once the "relocation" screen comes up, type in the six digit coordinates for the spot you want.

Step 8: once the ruins spot comes up on your screen, click on it...even if there is a ruin still there.

Step 9: once the ruins pop-up window comes up, it'll most likely still say "Waiting to be deleted"...click the green arrow to have the window disappear.

Step 10: Repeat steps 4 - 9 until the location you want no longer has a "ruin" inside, but instead a clear outline of a castle. Steps 4 - 9 usually take about 25 - 30 seconds, depending on the speed of your computer.

It took me a while to figure this process out, but once I did, it worked on my first try.

I hope this helps you, and helps anyone else that reads this.

Good luck, and happy hunting!

works good. it was in the process of being deleted at 9:10. at 9:35 it was clear and open. buttt because i did not know you cant have troops out to move, i didnt get it. someone was placed in the spot 3-5 minutes after it was open. :(

hope this saves someone the hastle of making this mistake like i did.

when you are closer to friends or alliances they can help you in times of battle. or trade with you when you are short on resources

Nice steps though it would be better if GGE was designed with like a 1 HOUR buffer period before they release the map slot to the newbie pool to make the "relocate castle" function hassle free. Or maybe they have a slot reservation function in case the system still hasn't deleted the old player.

hmm, tried all those steps I moved once, now I want to move closer to my alliance, but I have waited over an hour with a spot saying waiting to be deleted, when I moved the first time it was deleted within 20-30 mins. What is the average time for a space to be deleted?
