Topic: [85397] equipment question

[-85397] marco37 [None] :: Feb. 17, 2013, 9:29 a.m.
Hi all,

I have got 2 questions:

1) Anyone allready got an tool for calculating equipment? So what you can best put in your commanders to get the strongest out of it
2) Anyone allready found out what to put into you commanders

As i have seen the max % of equipment you can have is 90%, but how to defent such a strong attack? or what to put in you commanders to win the battle?

Hope someone have got some good ideas (i haven't found anything yet on the forum)

I'm new to the equipment idea, but what I try and do is to keep one commander for RBCs and one for attacking real players. I also have one backup - not particularly skilled, but okay all-round if both of the other commanders are out.

I would imagine that as I increase my level of encampment, I would have 2 for RBCs, 2 for real players etc. and I would end up with maybe 4 RBC commanders, 4 real player commanders and a single one spare.

For castellans: at the moment, I only have one, so I equip it with the best gear I can, and at the moment, that's perfectly fine, because castellan gear is a lot rarer than commander gear (in my experience). However, that does make sense because you have a lot more commanders than castellans.

Well Marco, I have 9 commanders, and I gave each a name and a special role. You need a couple (I've got 3) robbers, give them equipment that helps to gain more loot and give a better chance of getter better equipment. Also a muscle guy is a must, where you reduce the others walls, gate and moat and enhance your forces. Also a speed and stealth guy are recommended.

As an answer to your question: you won't need a tool, because the result is already calculated when you equip stuff. Besides, the max % is not everywhere 90%, for the odds of destroying a building is 5% the max. That's also smart to get, a destroyer, for if you're really mad at someone.

i think you're totally right, i've also done the same thing and it works good for me so i recommend this type of equipments for everyone

Bob, instead of having one spare, you should have one for support. Put the equipment that has more travel speed. I have 21.9% support speed and I'm sure you'll need it later. Fully upgrade it and it will be the BEST used commander ever

Fair enough. Sounds reasonable, once I have enough equipment.

I've got an all around one reduces walls and increases combat strength, a support one, (+39% speed,) I usually upgrade his equipment when the Technicus comes, then I've got one that increases ranged attack and one for melee and one for plunder. I want to set one up with good chance on finding strong equipment but right now most of that is mixed in with the equipment on my speed guy. I also have one with like +20% plunder. However I often mix it up for a specific attack.

Lot been said already. One thing I would sugest is not upgrading any eq. Unless It's legendary. Any other you'll eventually forge together to get a better piece so It's waste of coins in my opinion.

Well Pruslee aint I might think its better.. :/

It depends what level you are. If you're a level 8 and you've just got an epic from the daily registration gift, you'll probably use that for quite a long time, so it might be worth upgrading.

you should upgrade as long as you feel it's good enough. When I first try to optimize one of my commander (still trying now) I only have rare which can only increase range by 20% at that point but I still upgrade them to have 30% then I replace them slowly :).By the way, try to get all the commanders full of equipment. Then, upgrading only one of your commander until you get max stat on that one before move on to the new one

For me I have:

One for Glory, I use this only when I am certain it will be a victory
Two for Attack, one with roughly 50% solider bonus each and one with alot less solider bonus but better Wall/Gate/Moat decreaser.
One for Villages, that has +25% longer detect army and a bit faster speed
One for RBCs that give 40% better stuff (I use all of them to loot Barons but this is the main one I use
Four Support, Three are empty and the other has a bit of faster speed.

I find this very good and for Castellians I tend to put the most powerful stuff on the most powerful castle

When you forge a new piece, can you work out what attributes the new piece is going to have by all the items you put into the smithy?

No. It's completely random... apart from the type of piece (ordinary, rare etc.)

Back to the question.
I will have two special commanders for attack : one is optimized in range (+90%) and one is optimized in melee (+90%)
one special in plundering : to attack fire tower ( :p) (+100% plunder)
two is for better equipment ( I attack rbc alot ) (+100% better equipment)
one is for speed and castle reduction (anykinds moat reduction -gate reduction-wall reduction)
One is for glories and honor (haven't been able to optimized so I don't know :( )
One is for destruction ( +5 destroyed bulding, +fire by 60% )
One is for secret (+100% later to be detected)
The final one .... do whatever you like (multi-function, mixed of everything :p)

You should really get a support commander. 90% faster support would be pretty damn useful to my alliance. I could send support and help a LOT of people in my alliance.

Look equipment has not been released yet. It is not possible to get it. There has been no official update on when the look equipment will be added to the game.
