Topic: [88911] How to Be Successful in Berdimond

[-88911] AgentY [None] :: April 18, 2013, 2:17 a.m.
I've gone a lot on the forum and I see that some people are wondering how to get many troops there. Well, based on my experience, here's a few tips:

When to start Berdimond:
Unless you are a big hardcore or ruby player, don't start the minute the event actually begins. If you are a small player hoping for a few camps, get there after maybe 2 days.

Equipment:
Your equipment in Berdimond can play a big role in capturing camps. What I did is put up equipment of increasing travel speed during conquest and reducing occupation time (but I'd really go for speeding up travel speed during conquest, once you get a camp, its rare that you lose it) This is great for me because as I have three outposts, I dont have any need for those types of equipment on my op castellan.

Do research:
If you're a player in a rather small alliance, do some research. Ask the top alliances on the ranking list about which side they're going on. Its more likely the side with the top alliances will win. This is crucial, because if you end up on the wrong side, you're doomed.

When you start:
Immediately start doing the missions in Berdimond when you get there. Why? Well, after you complete the first few, you will get 50 troops as your reward. You may think, 50 troops is NOTHING! Actually, its the FASTEST WAY TO GET YOUR CAPTURING ARMY. Before you get the 50 reward troops, transfer attacking troops. Why not defensive? If you picked the right side, no one from the other side will try to get your camp. Defensive troops wont do anything. Right after you get your 50 troops, build a stables. After that, GO CAPTURE!

Capturing:
Only capture after you build the stables. If you send your capture walking, itll probably take more than 11 hours for sure. With 50 troops and maybe 10 troops transferred, you can send capture attacks. With the stables, they increase your capture speed by 70%!!! This is how my and my level 31 friend get our camps within 3 and a half hours. With 60 attacking troops, you can send around 3 captures on an average level 30-40. Try camps that are fresh out of protection. If you are outta luck, then you wait for that protection bird to go away. The minute its out, CAPTURE!

Who do I capture?:
Its quite easy to tell who to capture. You want to capture people who haven't gotten their 50 troops yet. This is how you tell if they got it or not.
If they have,
2 camps,
1 tower,
1 deco,
and 1 storage. I think that that is it.
If you find camps with less than any of these things, you KNOW that they dont have 50 troops. So CAPTURE them!!

With your new camps:
you can capture more camps with your new ones. This way, you will get your capture army a LOT sooner. Keep capturing until you want to stop getting those 100 troops. Keep in mind that all of those 100 troops you earn by capturing each camp will go to your MAIN camp. Don't bite more than you can swallow.

Why would I attack?
With your new camps, you can start attacking. Every three attacks that are victorious, you get 60 troops to your main camp. I wouldn't attempt attacking with your main camp because you dont get that 70% travel speed on captures. The 60 troop reward isn't mentioned in the quests, but beleive me, you get those 60 troops.

That is basically, based on my experience, the best way to get troops quickly. I myself have 8 camps and my level 31 nonruby player friend has 3 camps. And he started 4 days ago. Getting 300 troops in four days is a pretty big acheivement, and in the end, he only spent around 5k coins. 5,000 coins for 300 troops? Sounds pretty darn great to me.
I'm open to constructive criticism, but no insults please! Any suggestions are welcome and I can edit it and add it to my thread.

you might actually want to join berimond as quickly as possible, because after a few days you will then be forced to join the weaker side

The thing is, at the very beginning, all of the capturing begins in the middle. Whether its blue or red, captures occur. If you want to go all out, then join the minute it comes out. If you want only a few camps, then join maybe 2 or 3 days so theres less of a chance of getting captured. Im pretty sure after 2 or 3 days its not going to fall to 75-25.

i got 19 camps and 1400 troops (im level 70) and i joined exactly when it started, i was in the best alliance, and i am a general so i did say join bears, everyone did, and like 90% of other people did too, and 10% of everyone did join the lions, so it was very big differince, and it was VERY easy to win! :D

Last time I was on the lion side and I started 10 days before it ended. I had 1067 troops in my main camp. And owned 27 camps that I stole very quickly by getting them from people who had just started. Each camp had more than 200 men in it and I was proud. I am not going to join until the 18th and my leader will tell me who is winning before I join a side.
