Hi guys,
Here i am going to tell u about a great trick which is known as Martyr wave. It can easily destroy even armorer tools. If the enemy u are going to attack have upto 3 tools of same kind they can be destroyed. If he has 3 tools of 3 different kinds they can also be destroyed. Just send first 2 or 3 waves of 1 cheapest soldier(in each flank he has tools) u can make like spearman or any other in the flank he has put the tools. And his toold will get used up by the death of 1 spearman and ultimately his tools are finished. For example if u dont understand.
enemy spy report is:
2 stone-throwers and 1 fire moat on left and no tool in center and same tools in the right flank
The positions of ur soldiers can be:
1st wave: 1 spearman at left and 1 spearman in right
2nd wave:1 spearman at left and right to destroy his other stone throw also
3rd and 4th wave: it shud be ur real attack u want to do with ur most power

Yeah - this works for 3 things:
a) An RBC with 4 or less of a type of tool on a single flank.
b) A player with 4 or less of a type of tool on a single flank (probably a weak one - (b) is more common at low levels).
c) For trolling big players - if you are at war with a player who buys armourer tools, you can waste their rubies and weaken them by sending wave after wave of martyr attacks, destroying their precious ruby tools. It only works if they're offline when the attack(s) arrive, though.
Oh, and sending entire martyr attacks doesn't work on RBCs - their tools and soldiers completely re-spawn as soon as the attack is over.

It's the same principle as using sabotage - yes, it's an ugly tactic but I was once told "there's no limits in war".

there is another use of maytrs-- shadow mecenaries. some people send like 60 shadow mecenaries to attack one castle just to get toold away.

It's quite common on the USA1 server, you just have to be prepared for it.Anyone does this to me and I will force them out the game. Its a really ugly tactic and even in war it is refrained from at least on our server.

This strategy is pretty good, but it has one flaw: They can have more tools than you can have waves. 2 waves of martyrs would be great vs. somebody with 2 tools per flank, but what if they have 4 on each? Or what if they're just keeping them in reserve?

And why is this a dirty tactic? If it is allowed by the system then it is acceptable. After all this is a war strategy game.

It's considered dirty because it wastes the ruby tools.
Even if you have 99 in each slot, they can all get used if all the dummy attacks are timed correctly.
I myself have been subject to such attacks and it is extremely annoying.
Not only are all my ruby tools used up, but my castle is burned in the process.
Extremely effective, but it just really annoys people.

If martyr attacks to use up ruby tools is a tactic, not using this tactic is a strategy.
A lot of the longer term strategy in this game involves target selection, diplomacy, and relationships.
If you hit a player you can often maintain a relationship with them and even become friends. If you use this tactic you will find that you have made a long term enemy.
You may choose your own strategy on this one, but I advise making more friends than enemies.

I put this into my "terrorist" category.Of course there is the normal rules of engagement but when someone is over 10 levels then me, or I am attacked by multiple castles from another alliance at same time, or general bullying, unsportsman like attacks,I resort to terror. Sabotage is kind of weak because it is fairly obvious if you just got ganged up on that it came from you, so I result in terror tactics to make their life harder. If I have to spend a couple days repairing my main because you are 15 levels higher than me or you and your buddies jump me I will do my best to waste your time. I will sacrifice my mace men to continually waste your defence.
My favorite, and I only use this for those special arrogant bastards, that think they are untouchable and dont have to follow the general rule of civility, I take and drop their RVs in the middle of the night and message any and all people around those RVs that they are open. Like I said this is terror tactics for those that show any respect.
