This is a list of tips for newbies and players who need to improve their game.
1. Never attack someone more than 15 levels higher than you.
Consequences:
-Loss of honor
-Troop loss
-It makes you look bad
2. Don't send troops on only one flank.
You will face all other troops and 30% of your strength is lost.
3. Do not steal RV's because you never know the strength of the player (unless you perform espionage).
4. NEVER attack a top-notch player.
-Anyone whose name says,"the Terrible" at the end is a top-notch player and could easily crush your troop.
5. Do not insult top-notch players because they will retaliate and you will lose troops.
6. Follow the rules.
-If you do not follow the rules you may receive a suspension.
-Suspensions are both Temporary and PERMANENT.
Tips for castle:
- Build dwellings to increase tax revenue, but also build Decorative Items to re-increase your PO.
- Have plenty of farmhouses so you can have more troops.
- Attack RBC's to hone your skills. RBC's are sort of like a training battle.
- Gain honor. More honor means more buddies which means more support which means MORE honor.

Why wouldn't you attack someone 15 levels higher than you if you can win? Heaps of honour and makes you look like a bad mofo who knows how to play the game.
My advice would be don't attack someone 15 levels lower than you, it's just lame.

Well, for starters, they may have a higher level barracks which means soldiers you wouldn't even DREAM of recruiting.........
.......but 15 levels lower? Yes, super lame.

"Gain honor. More honor means more buddies which means more support which means MORE honor."
I think this one is slightly misleading. More honor = more buddies....yea or more attacks on you by other players who are strong in order to gain honor themselves.
Apart from that a good general guide

Good players have good honor, great players have great glory. Or at least that's my way of thinking.
Honor shows that you can win a few times in a row. I just found a castle in ruins with 900 honor.
Glory tells you that win or loose you are expending a large force and killing lots of troops regularly. Far more impressive.
I'm a level 40 prince so my glory could do with some improvement :P

Well, it doesn't really count because the player won't repair....most players who go into ruins STAY in ruins......master ninja 2 wrote: »i beat a level 46. (in ruins but it still counts)

I was going to say the same thing, I try to keep my honour as low as possible to prevent attacks from higher level players. It's glory that I want but that's a different story.

Well, for starters you can get your hands on travellers when you are level 5, add them to the troops you already have and it is not that hard to believe that a well set up attack with 160 travellers for could beat a level 20 easily.
The only level 9 to have travellers, and nobody else could get them at level 9 because you have special powers?

Any of you guys posting on this mind giving some feedback? I just want to know if I'm going about this the hard way.
I want to keep the glory points rolling to help the alliance I'm in to level up. But I don't want high honor since as I near level 30 and 40 I'll become too tempting a target for those in the bigger alliances seeking more honor. I'm still a middling level 29.
So today I attacked a level 44 main castle, I won and got the glory points I was seeking. I also got honor. But just prior to the attack, I sent a few waves of mace-men at him (22 men total). (I know this is standard procedure for some, but I did it as a completely separate attack - with it's own separate commander, in order to have them suicide and lose honor, in addition to just taking out his tools). I lost more honor in that suicide than I gained in the ensuing "real" attack, which is what I wanted.
My question is: is that the hard way of going about it, or keep doing what I'm doing? I figured maces are cheap and it was easy to lose 165 honor that way. Is there a better way to keep gaining glory while at the same time keeping my honor total down at a moderate number?

Wouldn't that give me more honor though? I'm trying to keep it low and fly under the radar.
I could fight a big battle that I'd lose, and lose honor that way... but it seems awfully expensive in troops to do that.

Ahh, good to know about the pre-attacks. I assumed that's what people did in this game. Guess not! I'm glad I said something then.
For this guy, I had been watching and spying on him for a week in advance and knew he was inactive.
I guess larger attacks are the only way to go then, like Barnacleez said, but making sure I lose some with cheap troops to keep my honor down.

you should attack anybody for honor unless they are in a big alliance and could easily own you
