Has GGE ever been sticky for you? Or have you ever checked your GGE on a slow Laptop?
Then there is a simple solution on how to fix this.
First go to the Gear Icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Then click it and a new pull down bar will appear. Click the wrench and the screwdriver Icon and a window will appear within Goodgame. Now just look on the screen for a green tick next to "Animations on" and click the tick so it is disabled. You're now done. Now your Goodgame should run very quickly.

The best solution will be that GGS made the game in an engine other than Flash. Flash is terrible and its performance even in High-end PC is awful.
Rant aside, disabling the animations helps a lot, also reloading the page often (as the game becomes progressively slower if you don't, Flash strikes again!) and clearing the cache may also help a little.

Toggling your graphics is something that has helped me too.

I tried it..It didn't help me whatsoever. Just gave the game bad graphics for no gain. But I am happy it helped you

Also, if you are in a particularly active alliance, clicking the "show movement arrows on the map" to off helps too.
Additionally, if you are in the attack screen and are launching at a target that allows an inside view (player castles/outposts/capitals/metropolises), this can reduce lag too.
