There not treated as games you see with games on say Steam, PS4,Xbox one and PC, they have many different effective methods of winning there may be multiply ways to speedrun a game for those last few unlocks but with games like empire even Forge ( which I adore ) has one way of planning in which you can reach the high tiers in each event ( without buying ) in forge ( or other more city based F2P games ) get a building that produces random troops get a really rare special unit building from events you can now print the rare unit, and remember the ingame player rules allow ways of getting this stuff really early on like if you know what your doing I'm talking first 3-4 weeks if that. 

An example: 
Forge: Getting a high number of rogues a day.

Rogue: when hit turns into a random unit that isn't a rogue. 
Alcatraz: produces random units depending on level ( starts a 4 can get to 100 a day )

Rogue early on are amazing they can pretty much one shot early era armies and are pretty strong up till about PME then the normally units get close making the unit more useful for the AI used on GE and PVP. Now with the advent of the daily challenge you can get a rogue hideout at a 10% chance before they were about 20% chance in yearly events. So the alcatraz costs roughly 1750 goods which should take about 400 FPs to get ( don't worry you get a lot a day if your in a good guild ) then do a trade for the goods and get a alcatraz and from now on the game is easier. This and the Arc are pretty much the only GBs worth getting early on. 
Now this is now basically required for anyone to take you seriously lets look at an example of GGE. 

An example: 
GGE: Level 70 

Before the legend levels level 70 was the end point in which you could get everything and should basically be nearing 100% completion.
The legend levels added 550 new levels then went to 800 many of which are meaningless and offer nothing worthwhile so guide to getting to level 70 started up as 70 levels are basically nothing now. 

So now you have to hit events ( don't worry these happen hourly ) and get tons of XP from them, instead of doing the quests and going through the now gone story. So train up troops ( mostly ranged ) and load up on manlets and ladders and create trains. For FL build banners and keep hitting till your eyes drop out. 

So both options are not fun to do at all grinding just isn't but it makes the game easier to some degree. With a time cost a large time cost which could have been spent on doing something else in game such as getting to know the more complex mechanics or better ways of playing not the fastest at getting B but a way that when you get to B you are ready for the next destination.  


Now how to improve this, well you can't because this issue is on all free to play games all of them and each one is different Candy Crush is different from empire but they still have the similar issues of 1-2 bests way to play the game. Now a game like Resident Evil 2 Remake has multiply ways of playing on all difficulty settings. Now I don't expect Triple A game quality from a browser game would just like if it was tedious and if you don't have a level 8 bakery or max watchtower in every castle you obviously haven't got a life or money. 

GGE you game is broken you don't fix that by throwing more stuff at it. Not only have ruined OR by making the only thing that made it appealing ( lack of ruby options ) and added a bunch of ruby options. 
Some players want the something to remind of when the game didn't lag every breath. So GGE sort out the massive lag spikes and maybe stop trying to wring us out for every penny.  Thanks
