Why not make it so that players can condense time skips, turn 5 1-minute skips into 1 5-minute skip, and to uncondense them, turn 1 5-minute skip into 5 1-minute skips. Having to spam click the 1-minute skips to use them is a little tedious.

yep ... I like it.

I know the argument is it will involve the same amount of clicking overall so it actually saves nothing but would be quite useful to combine the 1hr skips into 5hr and 24 hrs so we can max the storage of those as well :)

I suspect it's unlikely that this would cross over into the limited ones, otherwise people would stockpile immense amount of skips by constantly moving 30min and 1hr skips into the 5min category which has no limit.

Moving 5s and 1s defo sounds like a good idea, and I wouldn't mind 10mins becoming unlimited as a compromise for not allowing you to store infinite 30/1hr ones in smaller categories.

Great idea, having a decent form of skip management is a bit overdue - I'll make sure the idea gets fed back

In that case, why not create two separate inventories for timeskips. 
1 inventory for attack cooldowns and 1 inventory for buildings/research/upgrades

attack cooldown inventory has a max limit to all timeskips while the building one is unlimited

when the attack cooldown time skip inventory is full, all extra timeskips you win/earn will automatically be pushed to the second timeskip inventory for buildings until you free up room in the first inventory (this could also be done with condense time skips, let's say you condense tons of 5 min ones into 1 hour skips but your 1 hour skip is at 320/320 limit, then they'll be pushed to the building time skip inventory instead)

when your time skip inventory for buildings is empty, then it will switch to your time skip inventory for attack cooldowns instead which can then be used for both buildings and speeding up cooldowns

but as long you have timeskips in both inventories, the building time skip inventory will always be for buildings only while the cooldown one will be for speeding up cooldowns

bought time skips will as usual exceed the cap and be put in the attack cooldown time skip inventory

Another suggestion for the time skips as to a method to combine one, how about they just get rid of 1, 5, and 10 m skips.  I mean really, how often do we use them?  If you are out of other skips, are you really going to sit there and click the 1 minute skip 30 times to skip 30 minutes?  I know that I wouldn't, it takes too much time from playing the game to be worth it.

It takes like maybe 3-5 more seconds to use 30 1m skips instead of a 30 min skip.
I used close to 1k 5 min and 700 1 min skips this month on storm island ships (puffin helps in this regard tho LOL); don't really see why you wouldn't want them. 
If you have 49 mins left on construction time would you really want to use two 30 min skips to get going on the next construction? You're wasting a third of a 30 min skip. 

I see it like arguing for the removal of coins from our monetary system, except that the things we buy don't constantly decrease in price. Would you really want to pay $50 for something you know is only 26 but can't because all bills smaller 50 stopped existing? Probably not. (Though these examples are flawed; you could simply wait a few extra minutes. But not everyone has that luxury (for example architect is only here for another 20 mins, you have res on hand and there's 40 mins of construction time left), and time only passes so quickly)
It's a convenience. You don't need to use them, per se, but I (and probably others too) find them nice to have.
