I personally am a little annoyed with the way offers are presented in regards to their frequency and size, along with the priority they take when popped up, so here are some issues and solutions I have easily laid out:
Issues & Fixes With Popup Offers:
Issues & Fixes With Popup Offers:
- They take priority over any task I am doing. If I am tooling for a really important time based hit, for example, they will pop up in the middle of that. This can affect me during split decision defenses, like snipes, and during trains, I run on nomads when I am on the screen to skip time.
- Quick succession. Offers always come in large groupings, and with that, it forces me to load 5-6 pages at once on my screen, or, elements. For slower connections, this can be a problem, as offers are loaded top down - instead of key elements taking priority. Now I have to sit through the loading of the well designed but insignificant background to see what it is, and half the time I'm not interested.
- Scaling. GGE has done a great job of scaling offers for the 5-20$ range, encouraging repeat transactions and people acting on emotion seeing so much offered for so little. But what about us big spenders? If I want to spend $200 on the game at ONE TIME, I'd like to see some offers that scale that high. So maybe in the ruby tier offers that scale up to 50k, one of the screens can be an offer that scales up too - say - 200k rubies? Sometimes I'm worried if I should be spending $200 at once or splitting my payments across the day on multiple offers for $20 each. Not sure how it works so this may just need a better explanation and could be a result of my own personal human error.
- How offers display. I think it'd be a much better idea to change the offer system to something that is a little less in your face. Players like spending on this game. As much as we complain, the prices for things have improved tenfold over time - And a lot of things players have wanted have been offered much more openly. The equipment trader selling bundles and individual pieces didn't always be there and I must say, at least in my case, it's been quite useful. Ease of access encourages spending and in the case of making things in the forefront, we can tone down a bit. What if players could toggle at the top right of their screen offer popups, that way big spenders who are specifically looking for offer popups will have them display on their screen like normal. This would treat it more like a necessary notification rather than spam and clutter mail. Secondarily, players could subscribe to the popups for specific offers. "Only alert me for bakery level offers." "Only alert me for Nomad boosters." Thirdly, offers would STILL happen, but instead of popping up on the screen for those who haven't subscribed to offers, they'd appear in the mail. A nicely designed message would come up saying "Your offers are in!" Upon clicking the message it'd have some nice image previews of what they could expect, and hitting a button that says "Learn More" or "Buy Now" would make them all pop up on the screen like normal. This way nobody loses anything and everyone's happy.

I agree with that the offers is a problem
I'm still waiting for @Crom Cruach to comment on this offer apocalypse.
