I UNDERSTAND WE CAN LOOSE TROOPS DUE TO FOOD SHORTAGE BUT TO LOOSE 3.4K IN ONE HIT IS A BIT FU///// ANNOYING THERE MUST BE A FAIRER WAY TO DO THIS MAYBE 100 PER 1.5 AN HOUR BUT 3.4 K IS WRONG MAN GG ARE UNFAIR WITH THIS ONE REALLY UNFAIR PLEASE DISCUSS

you are likely starving troops due to the food glitch which has been talked about in various places in the forum.   many have lost more troops than you in one hit.  last I knew from first person accounts, gge was not honoring tickets requesting reinstatement of troops starved as a result of this food problem that they induced themselves on May 2.

I would be more than willing ( and very pleased actually) to say I was mistaken if anyone or any moderator can show proof that any ticket filed re: food shortage and troop loss has been honored at any time since May 2

A good way to go around this is to not rage on the forums.

If you experienced a loss in-game that you believe warrants compensation, then you will need to take it up with support as we are unable to handle individual account issues over the forums. I do not want to give you incorrect information, but I believe the amount of troops you have compared to food and food consumption determines how many troops will be lost when you run dry.

The support and moderation teams are two completely different departments that do not overlap. For this reason and for privacy reasons, we're unable to give information regarding to individual's support cases / tickets. Each compensation request is looked at on a case by case basis and if you meet the criteria that warrants compensation, I'm sure it will be taken care of. The only way to know for sure is to submit a ticket. Regardless of if you do or do not receive anything the support team will explain the reasoning behind it. If it was due to a bug, as you're saying, make sure to mention that so they may look into it and pass it over to the QA Bugwatch team.

A good way to go around this is to not rage on the forums.

Or to put in a ticket.. I know it sounds redundant at this point, but support has more tools when it comes to looking into individual losses and accounts than the forum team does. If there is indeed a loss that was caused by something out of your control, I'm sure they'll look into it per their policies. :)

This bug is ridiculous. Losing a reward or something or just a buggy event...ok I get it its GGE so nothing surprising but now the core of the game (food production) directly linked to troops is completely messed up in polite terms. I just realized I was having a -7k xtra food deficit in fire and -6k in main. So basically inflating the food deficit and limiting the number of troops us players can hold, lucky I haven't starved yet but eroding the already slim trust in gge mathematical skills. Do something or you will keep losing players.

I am sorry, but I am a noob, How on earth can moving a building have any effect on workload or mounted build items,
I also very much like to see the old and new production in formula as I believe it to be complete rubish and totaly unneeded to recalculate, or rather say mess up, every hour.
adding or removing a build item, or now seemingly be called a construction item, should have and always had instant effect.
moving a build item is not the same as moving a building, the latter means only getting a new place on the floor plan. It could be of course that being moved closer to the resource field increase the production, but that has never been the case and way to hard to program with the available team.
still unclear and needing explanation is the difference in calculations and pleas show formula.
still unexplained how workload can go to -1% for every production building and why would you need to recalculate every hour.
IF this mess is an attempt to automatically adjust production based on mounted build items, the team better try to find how the production is related to build items and come to the conclusion it already worked fine.
but, its friday so we will have to suffer the entire weekend and most of monday
sigh

Again GGE try to fix somethign that wasnt broken in the first place, to make life "easier" for us.

What would make life easier for all of us is if we didnt have to play against players paying 400% less for rubies than us.  What would make life easier is if you didnt give all the shells chance to buy rubies at 300% discount when real players only get them at 100%.  I thought you had learned that lesson but it seems not.

What would make life easier is if you got rid of all the shells in the first place, then maybe discounting for those who havent bought for a while might not be so bad.

What would make life easier would be if you stopped clogging our inbox with crap equipment / gems we dont need and havent needed for years, and trying to change us £15 a month to get rid of it.

What would make life easier would be if when you brought out a new relik system you made it work properly and that you gave us enough room to store then new equipment.

These are all things that would actually vastly improve the gaming experience, not changing something that worked perfectly well, that no one had asked or thought of changing.

it may sound a stupid question but would it not have been an idea to test the update before implimentation?

Loads and loads of things to work on that would actually make a real impact on peoples experiences and perceptions of GGE.

GGE is the guy busy painting his front door a nice red colour whilst at the back of the house his kitchen is on fire, He knows the kitchen is on fire but thinks the painting of the door is more urgent.

You really need to take a long hard look at where your priorites should lie in this game.  Becasue you have them so farr off right now, and you cant see it.

That is the most stupid thing I have heard lately to work around a bug, moving a building around to change workload, how did you make that up?
There are two things that really work
the first is unloading and loading a build item which takes a) a lot of coins and b) is only a temporary solution IF there is a recalculation every hour, which would be ridiculous any way, the production should be real time and not time based, but what worries most is what happens with all other production buildings.
the second solution and not very time consuming per castle is build a new not legendary production building of every type, wood food and stone, that will reset your workload from -1% to what it should be the new buildings can be demolished right after the execution. What happens after an hour has to be seen.

@crom cruach
the old formula to calculate production of a building knows 3 variable
basis production, which is depending on building level
workload, used to be depending on resource fields outside the castle walls and dropping down from 100% to 0% in 18 steps
and production, depending on PO and booster buildings
the formula to calculate production per hour is
basis production X workload X productivity
using the the normal build item the formula is
basis production X workload X productivity + bonus of build item, 200 at  level 10 build item
using a base build item the formula is
(basis production + bonus of base build item) X workload X productivity

when you work that out you will find that above 20% workload you have to use base build item and below 20% workload you use the normal build item.

Now show us the nifty change that will bring us more than we had before and tell us why it has to be recalculated every hour, or is the recalculate to set wrong what the old method has right all the time.

waiting in high exitement

@ the GGS team
If there is such known production bug it would have been rather considerate to have at least done something about the food consumption, like a freeze which may be much asked, but it could at least have brought down to 75%.
But as usual COMPENSATION is a dirty word and admitting you made a big error does not hold you from having a nice weekend and let the player sort their own food problems they have thanks to you
