Topic: [364645] More Incentive needed - please

The Event payouts as they are, prevent Players from competing for the prizes currently on offer.

First prize in both the Alliance and Player rankings is always claimed by the same very powerful Alliance/Players who have honed their playing skills (and maybe assisted them with ruby buying).  The next payout level is then paid out to the the top twenty players.

My point is that - I know that I nor my Alliance will almost certainly never be able to ever get to the top Rank and hence I and probably the rest of my Alliance will ONLY EVER do just enough to stay just inside the top 20 Ranks because the top 20 rank prize is the best we can EVER expect to win.  So we in affect get so far and then feel that we have collected enough tokens or tablets or Glory for our personal needs and then stop.

My alliance is an Eventing BEAST as Alliances go and I KNOW that we can PULL OUT all the stops if we really wanted too, BUT where is the sodding incentive????

The TOP 5 ranks need progressively sought after prizes (particularly in the Alliance section - for all members) so that MORE effort to win them for the next best 10+ Alliances will be made.  They will all put in more effort to get to at least the rank 5 prize and then they will  have the INCENTIVE to work very hard to keep that prize and may even do enough to progress onto win the 4, 3 and 2 ranked prizes.  This will require SPECIFIC honing of an individuals Eventing skills and hopefully eventually ending in the TOP number 1 rank be achievable to more than just the 1 or 2 Alliances/players that always get it now.
This will almost certainly lead to more Players assisting their efforts with ruby paid enhancements to keep you guys (GGE) happy

I can only comment on what I personally feel - And I believe that I have just done that.  I'm quite happy to do just enough for a top 20 rank prize but if you want more from me and maybe others then I NEED that incentive!!

The alliances that come first have used 1st place as an 'incentive'. They have worked hard to get where they are, whether ruby whales or not. As for more incentive, you get tons of great rewards from the solo rewards list that should keep you focused. If you personally want to do better, or want your whole alliance to work harder, then set goals and try to reach for them. There are many alliance rewards all the way up to 2.8 mil khan points, so that could be a potential incentive for you.

Thats an additional 2.2 mil points needed to reach the goal... so plenty of motivation  ;)

what irritates me and many more is the alliance hopping to get in the top and although it could be a nice way it is also a reason for some brutal player to declare war and total destruction when some players want to move to get another alliance in say top 5.
this has nothing to do with fair play and it should be blocked, the points you collect in one alliance should not move with you to another alliance during any event.
Winning an event by threatening war and total destruction makes me puke.

I'm a recruiter, the UK1 server is a little more open now for competitiveness now and I'm trying to that same spirit amongst our members and for potential new members.

We have our own chatting site and I could see over the weekend that 25+ members were online.
I started off a subject by typing 'Who remembers back in the days when someone would suggest going for the STORM Event titles that month', and everyone would be instantly on board for it.
Replies came back like 'yer, the good old days' and such like.
So then I said, 'so what Event should we do the same in now to try and win'
RESULT was instant negativity and the main gripe was why bother as an Alliance to win first place when we will end up putting in so much effort against the top Alliance just to win the same second best prize by coming anywhere between rank 20 to rank 2. Someone said that putting too many prizes in at the top would spoil the look of GGE's Event window.

Just LOOK at the huge gap that the winning Alliance always wins by - They don't even need to do that, because they will win it anyways.  The above attitude is prevalent amongst ALL of the next best Alliances.
Another remark was 'Do enough to get into the top 20 - Then I go and play another game' or mess about on the test server

Players love this game enough to level up an account over a period of time but most are NOT here to the best of their ability.
I enjoy the new Events but why keep making up new stuff when the existing (Bread and Butter) Events could be very  simply improved and given a little more Incentive.

Last I will say on the subject.  Rank 20 is secured - think I will go and play some candy crush
