Just an idea I would like to see feedback on.
Too many times in my alliance have I heard of either members starving out from event given units, or complaining of slow recruit.
What if we had a way to gift other alliance members units, the cap and frequency based on the level they are at. While at the same time, have gifts from others, and alliance events, deniable to help better plan the food shortages... stop intentional starving.
Perhaps have high coin cost on it... would love to have this tool to help in recruiting new members
I typed in gifts and units and did not find a thread like this

So an update to this idea.
Have an option to give a gift of units to a friend through the ruby shop.
This would allow leaders to help new players, while ensuring their is no unbalance to game without paying gge server.
Sometimes people have cards to use that are only for their country.
It would be nice to see a standardized unit gift option. It is very possible for Canadians for example to be playing with Americans, and have cards not work cross border

I believe this has been suggested before. The most common concern about it is Multi's buying and sending to their Alts. As for the event won troops causing starvation, there has been many ideas floated on this. From them arriving in Blue Boxes, to waiting until next log in. Similar concerns were raised related to Multi's and their Alts. I believe the answer was that all reward troops come with SOME food as well to help prevent the auto-starvation.
Sad to say, but many good ideas are exploitable and therefore not advisable to implement.........

That is why there should be an acceptance option, so you don't force other players to starve. They should as well come with food as you mentioned as well.Wasso (INT3) said:Sad to say, but many good ideas are exploitable and therefore not advisable to implement.........
Also that is why gifting other players should also be slightly costly, so sending troops to alts would be heavily unbeneficial and therefore impractical. Don't forget how sending tool gifts to other players costs more than the actual worth of the tools if you buy the tool gift pack yourself instead of winning it. So obviously would this feature be implemented the troop gift packs would obviously cost a pretty penny.
Now the third way this can be exploited is if people amass many gifts over a while, assuming it is an event reward and people obtain them gradually. There would be a time during war where an alliance starts to mass gift one another demons so they can mass and do some damage together. This can be avoided if the gift packs dont come as a reward. TBH this one doesn't sound all that bad, it's just a creative way to take absolute advantage of said game feature.

But, therein lies the problem. Even the FIRST thing you mentioned would be a "creative way to take absolute advantage of said game feature". In addition, the "acceptance option" would allow someone to purchase when they go on SALE (and they always do) and then store them in the ALTs inbox until needed. Imagine gifting a few thousand every few days that could sit in storage and eat NO FOOD until you pressed the "accept button". But, if you forced them to be accepted and begin eating food, you could "gift" your enemy a few thousand Horrors to eat them into starvation.blueninja691 (US1) said:That is why there should be an acceptance option, so you don't force other players to starve.Wasso (INT3) said:Sad to say, but many good ideas are exploitable and therefore not advisable to implement.........

Again, GREAT ideas that are exploitable by the "creative" types...……….

Don't forget that tool gift packs never go on discount, heck they aren't always available for purchase, so if this feature would be added i highly doubt they'd go on discount, and if they do then it would be minimal because the value of a gift pack would anyways cost more than the units would normally.Wasso (INT3) said:But, therein lies the problem. About having a thousand offered gifts stored, they could be given timers from the next time the receiving player logs on. That could easily help avoid the potential exploit of amassing gifted packs. Now that means the player gifting wont lose it, but they will not own the gift until the person either declined or ran out of time, and then the gifter can find another receiving player.

Don't get me wrong, this IS a good idea. But, playing Devil's Advocate mostly here. As for the timer, again for the Multi with the Alt, they just don't log in until it is time to rotate into that one.blueninja691 (US1) said:Don't forget that tool gift packs never go on discount, heck they aren't always available for purchase, so if this feature would be added i highly doubt they'd go on discount, and if they do then it would be minimal because the value of a gift pack would anyways cost more than the units would normally.Wasso (INT3) said:But, therein lies the problem. Not to mention the regional pricing where you can log into your Argentina account, buy the Rubies at pennies on the dollar (or pence on the pound??? is that right??) and then GIFT them to your American Alt...……...

Just saying there is a max of fifty tool gifts that players can share with each other each day. That can also be interpreted as a hundred if you time it at midnight. Maybe a similar cap would be placedon these.
The real problem that you mentioned was people who buy their rubies for cheap and give it to their friends who buy it for regular price. I believe that this problem was also brought up before where people would make it that the shop woukd feature prices from a different server, India for example, and use those prices to buy heals of rubies for almost nothing. I believe they have found a solution to this ruby kaundering but I'm not sure what it is or how it works so I can't comment further on this point.
Been a nice debate lol
