OK, I get it, GGE needs to make money to keep this game running. However, after playing this game for over 7 years, and spending a good chunk of change in that time, I have to point out that people are being drivin away in droves because of the WAY TOO MANY Popups and now, spam in your message box. I have been in IT for almost 40 years, so I get it, but when you are trying to set for an incoming attack and the popups hit ya, you lose, because of the delay. GGE just doesn't seem to get that, so although I haven't left yet, I am close, as I am sure others are. GGE needs to hear from you all, or it will only get worse. Hopefully I am still here!

Absolutely agree with this.
How hard could it be to make the offers appear, but NOT have them pop up on screen.
I.e. The icon appears but not the huge popup that no one wants to see.

They made a shop button, now all they need is a new "Marketplace button" which has two categories in it, ruby deals and ruby discounts. With that feature implemented we would only see one icon at the bottom with a red arrow to move to the next. Free gifts and current boosters may be displayed alongside in their own stackable slot.

I now have 15 "Special Offers" in my mail box This is unacceptable, and you cant delete them without looking at them. Might have to go the way of the masses if they dont stop. What a waist of time

Well, what more can be said. It is about time the forum modmins actually took, their fingers out of their ears and listened just a little bit to those who play the game.
First of all, we come here to play so that we can relax, we want to be able to setup our attacks or change our defensive setups and there is nothing worse than seeing pop-ups on the screen which means you are totally obligated to click on the crosses. I know it is an ideal feature to have so catch out the bot users (they are still in the game, I mean, how can one player have over 10 million sam tokens in just 2.5 days of play)
For a game that likes to boast that it has millions of players around the world, having looked at the Outer Realms, this is simply not the case (the total number of players can fill up Anfield, however, the total number of "active players", can fill up the ground of MK Don.)
Do you see the point I am trying to make? The fact that you spam our mail boxes, you litter the screen making gameplay totally impossible. As one poster stated above, he could be about to leave. SO!!!! LISTEN TO THOSE WHO PLAY THE GAME ON A REGULAR BASIS!!!!!! THEY ARE THE ONES WHO PAY YOUR WAGES BUY BUYING RUBIES!!!
Do us all a favour, and do the offers once every 3 hours (just like the cooling down times of rbcs) that way, the whales won't be able to get their fix, and we can all enjoy the game much better.

I've played this game for as long as the post creators duration and GGE, your getting worse. I also understand that you need to make money to keep this game upbeat and current but when your screen has 6 "offers" on it, three event icons on the left its extremely hard to click anything as they get in the way. Shouldn't the game be first and foremost and not the offers being first and trying to play the game second. The spams in the inbox are becoming one big joke.
You don't flood offer players in the hope someone will purchase a offer. Pushy sales will not attract more busyers, it will repel them if anything..

I find the stack of offers that appear in the message box most annoying as you cannot immediately delete them.

Dear GoodGame Staff:
Please, please, please, get rid of all those annoying Icons that clutter the middle of my screen. The all too frequent, repetitive pop ups were too intrusive as it was. Combined with the "junk mail" that litters our mailboxes, we are bombarded with offers of stuff that many of us don't need or want, and definitely things that most of us can't afford.
I just want to play the game and not spend so much time fighting it.

Unfortunately this will be a waste of time. GGE have rarely listened to their customers and instead persisted with their mostly misguided decisions regardless of how much harm it does to the popularity of the game. They haven't heeded good advice in the past and so it highly unlikely they will now. In the six or seven years I have been involved with the game the only time GGE have ceded to the players demand was when we all combined, across all servers, to ban the purchase of rubies until such time as they provided an option to turn off the automatic war declaration when players attacked another.
This type of action is what will be needed to stop these constant relentless annoying game destroying pop ups.
So in the meantime my log on routine will continue - without reading any of them, open up the special offers one by one (if you don't the dam things remain in your message box) then clear all the other others that pop up (again without reading any of them), then finally get on with the game. To bad if you have an incoming attack with only minutes to spare.
The thing that really makes me laugh is that I never read any of the pop ups. Only ever open and then immediately close them to get them out of the way so that I can continue with the game. If there was only ONE then I would most likely read it.
But as I have stated, unless all players band together and impose a ruby purchase ban then nothing will change:(((((((((((((((
