Hello,
I would like to know if there is a possibility of increasing the maximum membership from 65 to 100. Is that a bad thing?

This would be bad.
Alliance rewards would then have to be reworked as the 100 member alliances would get them too easily. This would make it harder on the small alliances to get those rewards.
It would also make PvP even more impossible, as the courtyard would be able to be stacked with 35 more players troops.
Imagine the Multi-Account / shell possibilities.
All around, a bad idea...…….
