Over the past 9 years I have played this game on and off. During my adventures I have had quite a lot of fun and quite a lot of annoyances. This will just be me speaking on the game and my opinion on the current direction that it's going towards.

Let's start this out with some appreciation towards the graphic designers and art team at GGE, this group does fantastic no matter what they're tasked to do and for that I'm grateful. I know that myself and a lot of others wouldn't have stuck through the game for this long without it being so visually appealing. Although I think a lot of their talents are being put to waste, for example did you even know that there is Shadow Horrors? They look fantastic but have absolutely zero use and will hardly ever be used.

Events, as much as I would love to just say give us a new event, I also thought about it and realized that I couldn't think of an original event with completely new mechanics. Yet I still think there are some ways to spice up the gameplay instead of it just being the monotonous Nomads then Glory repeat until you guys throw in Samurais. For example you have plenty of events that have been in the game already like Marauder, Underworld, and Thorn King that would make the game more fun if you occasionally added them in as in once a week or so.

Kingdoms League- Personally I very much prefer this new system to the old one, giving players the option to buy rewards individually allows F2P players to acquire more of the rewards, for example it is much much easier for someone to acquire 809 rubies than to acquire over 20K. For those complaining about the added price of the pass its over 13 extra days of rewards for about 1-2K extra rubies total. My only complaint is the fact that you need a gold to be given ranking rewards which is very absurd to be honest and even though it effects barely anyone it is still annoying.

Ads- Stop complaining about them. Got that? Cool. The fact people are complaining about this astounds me. GGE is not a Pay to Play game it is Free to Play and in the real world games cost money to run. It is $1 to get rid of them. They gave us no minimum price to spend to get rid of them so either deal with them by getting rid of them or cope with them being there. From my experience having them I only get them while logging onto the game or entering BTH or OR, but to humor some of the people who complain about these ads potentially ruining their trains, we played with popups that would constantly pop up even for those who spent and these popups could be 5-6 clicks deep each round
that they appeared. So please stop complaining about Ads.

Subscriptions- Although I don't quite like some of the benefits that they give, I understand the value they hold, as much as it sucks to not have auto selling equipment being free among other benefits, they also need to have incentives to get people to even buy them.

BTH- Personally without even spending I find this event tons of fun, my only slight annoyance is getting started in the event can take hours if you're not spending. And if you complain about this event being P2W my recommendation is to find 21 other friends with deep wallets. Other slight annoyances that I have is that it never has any variation and is always the same type of event. I'd like to have an increase of placement spots of  Individual though, as that's the main way to get fabric. While I don't find splitting the building materials mainly into two separate reward pools a bad idea, I just feel that the execution of the idea is not as good as it could have been.

New OR- I personally enjoyed how there was a skill cap that was easily attainable by any competent player whether they spent or not, the fact that we were allowed to bring over PO allowed people who weren't going to spend an even better chance at rewards compared to normal heritage hunter. I'm interested to see what can be done with the 50M coin entry fee. and if it can be intertwined into other events.(Need to fix the point system though because as Poseidon stated there can be two people getting first place rewards and my German friends proved that)

Storms (I wrote this before they announced they were taking it out this month)- I personally find storms to be a fun different change of pace, however I can see how people may not like it or participating in it. One way I think that we could add more fun into the events is decrease the time it takes to build ships, no one wants to waste multiple 24hr skips each event just to win. A new change I would add is Storm Build Items and Aqua Stockpiles. Storm Build Items, because I feel that even though it is one of the major reasons people don't like storm I personally feel that build items would kill most of the fun of the event and it would just turn into people getting extra mp by using it to only store defense, which is why these build items would only be used for storm purposes, like faster travelspeed or Time Reduction, and you would keep them at the end of the month. Aqua Stockpiles would be a form of Outpost essentially that you could only build ships in, there would be 3 different levels of outposts with each having variable size of castles, which would allow for more level 1 ships before you would need to upgrade them all. Finally titles, these in my opinion are still surprisingly good spare for a few. The first of these is the +100% Spies, people have well over 40 spies now a days and hardly have any use for all them, what I would  recommend as a change for this is to give the holder +10% late detection while attacking and whenever they get spied they get a message saying that they were spied, but not by who, if the spy failed it would still show as normal. The second title that I think requires changing is the +100% recruitment speed while in thought this is a good title because of the fact that people still actively recruit and especially  now with mead troops, however 100% is very miniscule by the fact that just a single relic castellan will put well over double that. my change would be to give it a 500% increase in troop production. The final title that I think need a rework is the timid title, I simply think that people dont care about having to pay extra coins as it really doesn't make too much of an impact, how I would change this is to make it where bringing troops to other Kingdoms costs 200% more coins. For storm rewards I would change first place to a 2K PO as you had to work all month for it, and then just correlate 1k, 1.2k, and 1.5 PO into the other reward slots while keeping the Alliance Rubies. For equipment I would swap the red equipment with the gems we receive in OR.  A final cool addition to this event that I think would be cool is adding Kraken's into the map to basically be a stronger Dragon with around 5K troops and give about 2K rubies per win, once a player would beat this it would sink back into the war and pop up in a different spot on the map to give all players a somewhat fair chance to compete for them.

Master Blacksmith- Overall one of the best updates you've had in awhile, so I wouldn't offer many changes on the silver side of rewards, however a couple of the gold rewards could use a bit of a rework/price reduction. A new item that I would introduce to the best seller is giving us the option to buy 2K Construction Tokens for 40-50K gold, this would help everyone as even the people who spend may find it difficult to constantly produce high results in Outer Realms every other week.

Bestseller- While I feel that you continuously try to add more overpowered things into the game I actually quite like the Bestseller shops. It gives alternatives of the Payment shop to get 1K POs, the fact that the prices are reasonable makes it so even F2P's can enjoy it. The PO for anything besides the 1Ks I feel are overpriced and not worth it, for the 1.2K POs I would like them reduced from 10K rubies down to about 6-7K just because I can buy a 2K po for the same price that I can buy a 1.2K.

Glory events- These make me feel like I'm smacking a grown man with a feather and even if I hit him over 200 times someone can just bring a gun and beat all my prior work in 2 seconds. You haven't updated the castle AI in over 4 years, no one holds only 500 troops anywhere anymore, even 8,000 is a miniscule number. I have no issues with you making attackers and defenders more accessible in the game, however you should also keep everything else up to date, People can hold almost 80K troops with barely any negs yet our glory castles only can have 500. Another is that the respawn rates of these bad boys is completely absurd, while I can see that speeding it up may require more tech that we might not have, it definitely would be much appreciated if it was looked into. A change that I would possibly recommend would be the ability to support glory castles before you hit them, this would give bigger players an advantage while still letting lower levels compete by still having the original concept. These rewards also suck but I'll have a whole different paragraph for those.

Skips- This will mostly focus on the 30 and 1 hour skips as I feel that the 24hr and 5hr skips are in a good spot, with that being said I think that we should increase the max cap of these from 320 to 420, and to supplement these extra skips we do what the nomad shop does with village tokens where you can buy the original for the same price but have the option to buy double the amount for an increased price. I think that this would help progress the game by giving F2P players a better chance in events more than usual.

Rewards- This is going to be any place in the game that you can get rewarded for doing something. First on my list is general individual rewards for nomads and glory events, personally I think that the gold and silver is pretty reasonable and my only change would be to maybe increase some of the silver around the 40-50th rewards. However I do have an issue with the catalysts and relic build items, as both of these are not really good or viable in the game right now, what I would propose to replace these items is to give 20 construction tokens and 20 upgrade tokens, then for the next level of relic make it 40 construction tokens and 40 upgrade. Alliance Rewards are going to require quite more of a rework, in my opinion remove all of the items that are in there now except for feathers, and double the amount of those already in the rewards. I'm going to say my opinions replacing the rewards on the first tier, these will still be duplicated as they are now for more rewards just a higher point, for example if I say we should triple the amount of troops for the first reward and replace them with vets, then the 100 horrors on page 3 would also be tripled and turned into vets. Now onto the fixes, first all  horrors should be multiplied by 10, I think so because as of right now normal horrors are irrelevant and useless, we have no real way to acquire them and this would help drastically. Second is to replace the 400 vets we get into a 1K PO and of course turn the final reward into a 1.2K PO and the top 50 Alliance would also get a 1K PO. Next the build items, these are have to go man you've introduced three different groups of build item materials and 2 of them are completely irrelevant. One way to make these rewards better is to give very small amounts of BTH building materials, for example like 10 cobblestone and Glue for one tier  than 2 fabric and some Glue/Cobblestone etc. For the tools I think we should simply replace all the event ones with their glory tool counterpart, and the flags should be either a 6% or 8% depending on the reward tier. The VIP time in rewards I think is fine it should just be buffed a little to at least to cover the entirety of the event. With these new rewards however I think that the first few pages of rewards should just be all the troops then you get into the good stuff, with the addition of better flags I also believe that all the reward prices should be doubled to make it more difficult to obtain the good rewards. For alliance placement rewards as previously stated I believe that Top50 should be a 1K PO, Top 20 a 1.2K PO, and Top 1 a 1.5K PO, the second reward for the first tier should be the old top 50 gem, and the top20 reward should be the old Top 1 Relic Commander, for the second first place reward I think that it should rotate between 100 cobble, glue , and fabric. For individual I think that first should be a 2K PO and should rotate between a lvl5 Premium Food Production Build Item and a level30 Base food. Top 50 should be another 1.5K with just a normal level 1 Premium Food Prod, and Top 100 Should be a 1K with a level 20 Base food. I chose only individual to get 2Ks simply because having 65 people every 3-4 days get a 2K is just a tad too strong in my opinion. These would also correlate across many separate events that use basically the same scale. Another reward that should be tweaked is honor reward, as of right now honor is completely irrelevant and the reward for first is almost more irrelevant, my change would be to give first in honor for level70s, 5K Mead troops and a 700 Cobble and Glue. Another thing that I believe requires changing is some of the special offers and the bonuses you get for purchasing rubies, some of the special offers are just simply not worth and essentially spam in our inboxes for no reason for this I would simply just delete them as it isn't really worth  my time or yours to keep them in the game. For the purchase bonuses, I think that the only actually good one is the one that contains hundreds of skips and besides that the rewards are honestly quite subpar and not a good incentive for buying.

Kingdom Villages- These have some of the coolest graphics and dialogue in the entire game yet have the literal worst rewards in the game. My change to these is very simple and quick, lower the prices of all the troops down to 10. This correlates well with my Tower note right below this, if people spend more time looting their Towers they will have more Kingdom Resources which will in turn give them more troops.

Towers/NPCs- This one is also very very simple, half the time it takes to max them and triple the rubies. If people are willing to put in time to get the rubies manually you shouldn't be hindering that.

Wood and Stone- As of right now wood and stone are basically useless people have no real use for this and just loot hundreds of millions of it weekly with no real purpose for it, how I would face this challenge is by adding more castle expansions for each castle, these can't be purchased directly with rubies but instead with 1B Wood and 1B stone each, and if you're thinking that that is a lot and an absurd number that is exactly what I want you to be thinking, it shouldn't be something that you can just grind for an hour and be done with. There is still plenty of ways to buy wood and stone with rubies so it still has the option for ruby players to pay and get an advantage but that is how the game works so it is fine.

Red Equipment- As of right now it is completely useless, but that was known when you introduced relic equipment, while I'm a big fan of said equipment I think that Red armor could still have its uses, for example you could make it so that you can have unlimited late detection with your commander, or have 300%+ ranged or melee strength but sacrifice flank space. There is a lot of possibilities that you have with this equipment and it would be a shame just to let it sit in your game and ignore like you do with majority of your old things.
to make a customized commander that you want to fit one and only one goal, people still do this just not on a broader scale, loads of people make speed coms or cheap travel coms with their red equipment to help send support or safehouse attackers. It al depends on the limitations that you give your players.

Alliance Improvements- Personally I found the Doubloons to be a very good and interesting step in the right direction, however a lot of the good in these has been hindered completely useless and could have much better effects for example majority of the things we have the ability to use these on no one will ever use. For example no one requires the healing speed bonus, but if you replaced that with a troop recruitment speed bonus many more people would use it.

Now onto some positives or updates that I thought were good for the game and helped to progress in a beneficial manner. First is the WoA, this was the first way that we could easily accumulate mass numbers of troops, which helped progress the game further in MP and skill level as your hits would have to be more tactically set up or else someone could just stack themselves with thousands of defense. Another good update was the blacksmith update and the update to said blacksmith that gave us unlimited boosters, this was the biggest win for F2P that the game has arguably given us ever and I thank you for that. Another update that I found beneficial was the Wave look update, this helped to bring defense and attacking on an equal plane yet again as before hand people had the defense to stack 200K at will and simply smother a 6 wave attack.

Some more feedback that I could offer to advance the game would be to add a stables build item that gives your attack +5% and you use the normal relic build items not bth, this would give old materials a use while advancing the game. Second would be to consider the ability to have an outpost in each of yours outers, maybe not as strong as your outposts in green could be but just minor stations that could store troops like rvs but unlike them could also send out attacks.

For a different perspective on how far this game has progressed remember that a couple years ago a 90/90 with 80 courtyard commander was the norm, now people can have a commander with the max stats of  230/230 with 200cy

If you read this far you obviously care somewhat about this game, and you now get to witness me doubting why I even took the time to write this but that's cool. I hope you enjoyed it and found it somewhat helpful, also hi mods :)

Very good post. Thanks for putting it together and sharing it with the community! Hopefully, GGS takes your post to heart and implements a lot of your post. One note though, the bestseller shop isn't available to completely F2P players as you have to purchase rubies at least once. This should be changed to be available to all.

agree with most. most events are still fun to do and you can get most rewards for free if you spent time.

Horizon is something i do not like now. okay to spend real money but rewards are now in the middle of the night for us in the netherlands. if your hQ is attacked when you are sleeping you lost all very fast. did spend money and did a lot of attacks during day time and lost everything in the night when i was sleeping with 2 or 3 attack. And the real big spenders can attack everything very fast even if you did spend some money and got average defence in your city. 
so i do not play horizon anymore but you can not get those resources anywhere else in the game and that is strange.
Would like some events in main game where you would get those building materials. not only horizon of outer realms.

While I see what you're saying and it sucks, I don't think that is something they can easily fix. As no matter the time of the daily reset there will always be a certain time zone who gets the short end of the stick, there are of course ways to still manage but you are still at a disadvantage. And I wasn't going to involve BTH items in the rewards into the first place because I believed that they should be kept in the event only just because of the impact they can have, however they started to add them in as WoA rewards so I felt it would be best to incorporate them in other more broad ways.

The time bit is REAL EASY to fix.  If not changing daily, at least change collection time event run to event run.  You would only need to change the 4 digits in ONE line that represent the collection time.

Besides the difference between free and ruby players the game is in a very good state. Hands down so much more to do, and so much more to enjoy.
