GGE has a loot table for each week and it highlights 1st 2nd and 3rd place - i suggest that those three players get a one week look item that is purely honorary so no effects, no gems.
1st place gets a look item that looks like the Dragons except the Dragon is golden rather than red
2nd place gets a look item that looks like the Dragons except the Dragon is silver rather than red
3rd place... well you're all smart so i don't need to describe it
I'd guess that competition for 1st would be a lot more intense
If GGE would spend a little bit of effort designing it i'd have the dragons sleeping on a mountain of gold, silver or bronze
