i dont like black there was no castle or empire that was black in the medieval times and this game is based on medieval times so why black? i like it how it is

how about we render the walls by throwing mud at them and colour them whatever colour we want because it is a GAME.
I'm pretty sure 100% of the animation in this game is not historically accurate. lol

It's just as black as the stone castle shown in the forum banner. It's really the colour of dark grey, which is the colour of the material it is built from, which in turn was, wait for it... my point all along!

Castles are the colour of the material they are built from.
Seeing as stone castles already are dark grey in the game, the colour of the stone they are made from, it would require paint to make them more black. No castle was ever painted.

It's not the black that bothers me. I don't want castles to be pink or purple or any other colour. Why do you kids keep asking what colour I want my castle to be? The problem is that it would require a significant amount of paint to make a castle black, or any other colour, and castles were never painted!
Do you get it now kids? Or are you going to ignore the point I'm trying to make and keep asking the same questions over and over?

It's a game alright. A medieval game, meaning that it is tries to emulate the looks of medieval times. Medieval castles were never painted. That would have cost way too much.

keep up the argument about color and they will close the thread and not re-open. The developers have come up with some nice buildings and decorations to make the empires look great--lets go with that.

Well based upon your actions whether you classified as a "hero" or "villian" type player it could be the gold with the ornaments or dark grey with spikes and such.

Well you can make it black with spikes if you want to be a Villain type of guy. Or a regular castle or a hero type of guy. Maybe
