I think something like this has been posted before but not exactly alike. The only way to fight in this game is in a storm-the-castle way. There should be some more ways to fight; like sieges where your troops would continue to stay there and send resources until the original occupant fends you off. Battles in fields should also be made possible. Maybe at special marked areas on the map two armies could fight. The function of formations could be made possible here.

i agree with that. way of fighting now is so bored.
maybe it can be;
-surround the castle
-mack an attack that are join with alliance member,
-alliance war.
one specific place, field to have war.
specific time. or anything.
it kinda fun and adventure,
maybe it can be attribute where army can have advantage with the land, such mountain, feild, rocky.

I like it so maybe at your castle it alerts you then you click on the alert and then the camera or whatever moves toward the gate and you get the view that your men see posted on the towers and see the people coming from a distance.

In alliance wars this will helpful because its WAR! I mean since you're at war isnt there supposed to be a place to hold the war

and in the old days they didnt just fight the wars at the castles take the battle of hastings for exsample you could have war on open ground

in alliance wars there should be an area in the middle with a time the battle will commence and all members from the alliance should be able to contribute troops and supplys

nice idea above
and i agree with the idea that there needs more types of battle (sieges, field battles,etc)
and maybe the ability to make a camp could also help.

if you do this like surround the castle then join an alience member to attack the woundering knights will be useless GGS is not gonna like it!!!!!!!!!!!!
