hello !! haven't posted anything up until now but I have been keeping an eye on you for a while 
. just wanted to say thanks to all of you as the various discussions have been very useful. particularly: xJadetsssx (funny comics btw) and BobFighter834 (a bit too harsh sometimes but useful pointers)
started last friday. 3 more days and protection wears out. interested to see if I'll get pummelled right away

My advice to you is don't wait until it finishes but get an army and attack someone hard it's very important to win the first attack it will give you a massive advantage.

thanks for the tip. interesting. I was tempted to do that today.. I've got about 100 troops. more or less 65% of these are attackers. hoped to upgrade the walls and towers before I loose protection, and possibly have a 150 army by then (provided food production is ok), was thinking to change the defence/attack ratio by then as well. been concentrating a lot on the quests and attacking as many robber barons as possible. not sure if I want to be agressive or defencive, I see there are a few weeker settlements nearby. very tempting.. :-S I'll probably decide tomorrow upon impulse , I'm a level 11, half way to 12 btw.

Hey, you probably won't get pummeled at the very beginning, but I agree with SwiftArrow that you should initiate the first attack. Also try not to post how many and what kind of troops you have, you're kinda saving people an espionage and asking to get attacked. :P
