Love this game btw, but have a question. How common is it for armies to just disappear? I had a 25 group army out raiding a Comp Stronghold, and now it's missing even though my battle report says I lost no one. :(

It's a pretty common bug. Just email support and they'll get your men back to you

Had the same problem, lost 36 men and all captured resources!
Waiting for reply and replacement from support!

Okay. Thanks for the fast replies. ;) Guess from now on I will keep battle reports instead of deleting them before they come back.

Welcome Nameless! I have heard that if you are online when your troops return, you are less likely to lose them. I've been doing that, and I haven't lost anyone else yet. Hope that helps!

The "missing troops bug" havent been fixed by GGS yet. It is happening since last year (yes... since 2011, when I played with another name in another server)
But the information is that they are working hard to solve it as soon as possible!
:)
...
Well, like T_PACK has said, I let my computer on 24 hours a day, and I havent lost my soldiers this way (of course I work, I sleep, a take shower, I give attention to my wife... but the computer is always on...)
It is the only safe way to do not "waste" troops.
The other choice is not launch attacks before you turn off the computer (a very bad choice in my point of view)
...
Well... I am really not sure about the following point, but I bet the following: the bug happens exactly in the moment that your troops reach the enemy, when the "attack arrow" (in red) truns blue "troops coming back) I bet if you turn on your computer in the period the troops are returning, you won´t loose your troops.
For example: I send an attack that will take 3 hours, and now it is midnight (00:00). I turn off my computer. My troops will arrive at the destiny at 03:00. If I am right, I can turn on my computer at 5:59 and they will be not lost (because there is one minute left to them to reach my castle, at 6:00). However, if I turn my PC on at 6:01, I will have lost them.
Again, the last paragraph is just a conjecture, I am really not sure about it... but you can try yourselves and tell us your feedback here.
