Hi everyone,
Just popping in and checking the forums to see if I am going to buy this game or let it go. So far I have just been building and enjoying the 6 days of no one attacking me, and building my castle up. Any suggestions are welcome.

I have noticed a lot of people make comments that make it seem if you do not spend money for the gems this game is pretty much geared to helping those that do spend cash like that. Is it really that bad>?

Purchasing the Rubies (gems) definately gives those players an advantage. The game can still be enjoyable if you do not opt to purchase, but you will be at a slight disadvantage.

well, unless you are amazing at saving rubies, you wont get to a level 4 bakery very easily. and then you wont have as many troops because they will be eating more food, but if you can find an OP with a level 4 bakery, you are doing pretty good

Welcome to the game and forum. Two suggestions: Dont spend rubies on finishing buildings/research early, and join an alliance as soon as you can. Here's a couple of abbreviations used on the forum:
RBC: Robber Baron Castle
NPC: Any computer controlled castle
OP: Outpost
GGS: Goodgame Studios

it's addictive! if you get in alliance with people who know what thier doing, you can make big gains quick! it is defnetly a long term game!
