I have been playing Goodgame for about a week now with my son and his girlfriend.
We have played travian before but prefer this for several reasons so far.

No reset so your work is not wiped out after 9 months
The Graphics are much more interesting
The quests which give variety as well as the fighting
My son especially likes the robber barons.

and yes I really am a Granny :)

thanks for the info about the reset .. i guessed that was the case with so many villages going into ruin and then disappearing as a robber baron village. Fair enough if u stop playing .. its was the automatic reset with Travian that I was talking about where no matter what level u r at after so much time the whole game is reset
