Hey everyone,
It's come to my attention that we may have had some issues with the Empire servers overnight (cheers to @Wicked for pointing it out!). Just wanted to pop in and let you know that the team are aware and trying to figure out what happened.
I'll be back in the office tomorrow and I'll be able to provide you more details when I'm there.

as long as I get my troops back which deserted because of GGEs server downtime within a reasonable time limit I will be fine

Yeah, there will be millions of troops lost.
Even though it did not affect me, I suggest a server rollback.

GGE struggle to handle the servers without asking for a rollback... they'd probably manage to rollback to the point when it all went wrong

Lost all of my attack troops in one of my food ops and was attacked when i could not defend. Left with a ton of defenders that I can't feed due to not having attack troops. Great job why don't you restore troops that people lost because they could not login to top off on attacks. Your customer service will maybe respond to my ticket tomorrow wasting my time in the meantime all of my defenders will starve.
Petition to change the name to MaybeRunning Empire.
The last time this happened my troops were not restored and if the same happens this time congratulations on the money you got me to spend, because it will be the last.
I could go into how I was not able to hit camps and I'l eventually loose my 20% food for outer realms, or how I wasted two hours trying to login from 12:30 A.M. to 2:30 A.M. to feed my troops., but it will fall on deaf ears as it always does, so I won't waste anymore keystrokes.
I lost 2934 troops and i expect them to be restored along with food so they don't instantly starve. You have until tomorrow, so I hope you have a good customer service team and I don't have to wait 4 days to be denied like last time.

Ditto with all of the above plus 2 hrs. loss of being able to collect taxes every 10 min. Please look here for original post in the forums that shows others also had issues

Popping in to let you know that we are still working on a solution for anything lost due to this downtime. I'll keep you updated, but it looks like there was no actual data loss this time around, just standard desertions.

it wasn't just desertions. I lost all day on attacking beri camps because i was recruiting to replace the men I lost. Which meant I lost coins and special resources as well. I hope these will be compensated as well.

The knock on effects from this game over small problems is a big thing to take into account - Simply saying its just 'standard desertions ' is disrespectful to the paying customer. Its the main reason for unhappy customers. FACT

I believe some player who have contacted support have been re-allocated troops lost back,
