Good afternoon everyone,
It recently came to our attention that there is currently an exploitable bug present within the Alliance Cities feature. Any player was able to donate unlimited Royal Coins to their Alliance Funds, without losing the coins themselves.
In order to prevent the balance of the feature being ruined by this, we’ll be taking the following steps:
A short downtime will occur soon, after which, it will not be possible to donate Royal Coins to the Alliance Funds, or use Royal Coins to buy upgrades or buffs.
All Alliances Royal Coins (in the funds, not your personal inventory), will be reduced to 0
Tomorrow, all buffs that were purchased using Royal Coins will be reset, this does not mean your buildings/upgrade levels will be reset
When this happens, all resources (apart from Royal Coins) that you used to purchase these buffs will be refunded to the Alliance Funds.
You will then be able to donate/upgrade as normal.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, but thank you for your patience as we deal with this problem. As a side note; there should not be any losses due to this. Yes, you will have to purchase your boosters again, but since the Royal Coins that were donated to the Alliance Funds weren’t deducted from the individual players inventory, the amount of legitimate coins you have should not change. There were also not many Alliances that had these boosters, as they are only available after a lot of upgrades have been made.
Best regards,
Your Empire TeamThanks for your continued patience!
Regards,
Steve.
We'll be performing the second half of this hotfix this afternoon.
When this goes live, the buffs purchased with royal coins (Which shouldn't be many, as there are only 3 available right now) will be refunded. We will also fix the following bugs:
- "Too many troops on the flank" appearing after upgrading specific Alliance City segments
- Resource transports not taking alliance speed boosters into account
Steve.
EDIT: We'll be going live with this tomorrow, so that we can iron out a couple of issues, and possibly fix some more bugs in the process.
