they continue unless the devs reset the game clock which is highly unlikely... although there was one time within the past year where the server was down for over 24 hrs and the devs reset the sever clock to the time it went down so all forward progress was lost...
the other down fall with maintenance is that your troops continue to eat food so you can loose troops if you run out of food... has happened to me quite a few times because the darn maintance is always in the AM for me... sigh

exactly the reason @Rakan, they only give you a 1 minute notice before shut down... not much time to do anything...

with the new pre settings its alot of time to attack
i dont know how you guys and girls attack but i have my standard attacks set up allready,even very rarely spy before my attacks because my spies sux sure it costs a few tools extra but its safest way to attack,espesaly if its ongoing war

vamos estoy desde temprano para ganar la armadura de berimont (el casco) desde las 5am estoy conectado para q? para q justo hoy se le de x arreglar su problema q deverian hacerlo antes.

Just a quick question on The City upgrades?
From the moment this event was launched, it was always said that the cities would become defendable that eventually with a lot of time / effort and resources anyway. it would become more than just a farming event.
I was i guess just wondering who at gge thinks its possible to to defend against a 6 wave 3000+ fully tooled up army with 1300 defenders? and i would love to see the cast thats needed to pull that little magic trick off!
