Dear community,

In our next update we will primarily focus on fixing current issues and improving the quality of Goodgame Empire.

  • The cap of the minutes skips will be unlimited for Minutes Skips bought from Prime Days.

  • The research tree display will be changed into the previous linear view, as requested by several Communities.

We have tried to include as many issues that have been mentioned by the community as possible. However, if a particular issue has not been mentioned it will therefore not be included in this bugfix. Of course endeavor to keep you informed on them and provide any details regarding their development until such time they are fixed HERE.

Hey guys,

As mentioned above in the announcement, we planned to revert the research tower layout back to the linear style.

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that this was not clear enough and it may have lead to confusion.

Therefore we would like it to be as clear as possible. We are not able to implement a complete revert of this feature due to current technical limitations, and thus we tried to find a compromise that somehow satisfies your request to see this layout again.
So we decided to move the basic/low level research in a new tab, and rearranged the other researches in the other tabs in a somewhat linear way as they used to be in the past.

We apologize for any misunderstandings and hope that this view is at least an improvement from the previous layout. If you have any further feedback on this, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Dear Community,

Our recent update contained major bugfixes, two of them were related to looting, one in the Hall of Legends, the other one in the research.
This means that the formula to calculate your loot has been reworked so you can earn more again, and so we would like you to give you a little more insight into how we fixed this.

Let’s start with the basic formula, which looks as follows:

final loot value = (((max loot value - safety) * loot cap (25%)) * (1+hol+eq)) * (1+alliance+research+berimond+marauder)


The first bolded section allows you to loot resources from your target, the second unbolded section generates the resources in the system. The latter is therefore responsible for you being able to loot more than your target provides to you.

The previous problem was that the researcher bonus from the second unbolded section slipped into the first bolded section. Which caused you to loot less and created a lot of confusion.

This has now been adapted again to suit what the community has asked for. However, the system should not be able to generate so many resources and we think an eventual revision will have a fairer and more positive impact on the whole Empire.

A full optimization of this formula is currently too complex and would cost us too much time and resources. Therefore we would like to tackle and combine this with our optimization of the whole kingdom resources system.

We will approach the whole thing in the near future and adjust everything that is relevant to the kingdom resources (e.g. looting, prices in the Hall of Legends, transport fees, research, etc.) With that we will rework the formula and share it with you along with all necessary info once it’s done!
