The Creative Contest!
Hi all,
So, I thought it would be great to have a contest this week that tested creativity rather than puzzle-solving ability
The competition is simple in that there is a lot of freedom with what you can do; we are asking for you to create something about either the upcoming update, or a general winter creative piece. These can be anything from a Poem about a winter wonderland to a beatifully created announcement graphic for the update.
A shortlist will be created on Monday next week (26th December 2016)
There isn't a new feature, this is to get
you in the mood
The Rules:
- Only one entry per player
- Please remember it is a fun competition, so don't post anything that is going to insult someone else (posts may be removed by the board team if breaking this rule)
- KEEP IT ORIGINAL! We don't want any copies here
- Have fun, and blow us away with your creative streaks

those filthy pixels would be no more
or so I hoped but to my despair
The tents I burned that belonged to the bear
did but respawn everywhere
In my clouded judgement crazy
I convinced myself that I was not lazy
even though the evidence was sound:
the truth lay plain and fit to pound
ev'n my intellect lay neglected upon the ground.
But somehow the witchcraft was my undoing
the guilt upon my spirit accruing
"I'm addicted" I fearing said
"Begin again, don't be led!"
but in contempt I lost my head.
And thus runs the story of my life
the hate, the anguish and the strife
I didn't think t'would be so damning
to log on the site surprisingly void of spamming
and be left destroy'd and all but despairing
And so be learned ye hard of knowing!
all the rest let truth be flowing
be tempr'ate with your time in game
because it can mess with your brain
and you, of course, (generically *sigh*) will never be the same.

The Crazy Winter
The winter are coming soon ,,we need more fun .
We'll win the alliance champion,
but this haven't any fun.

My wish for Christmas is simple you see,
I wish for you to rid us of players with many accounts used to pound me,
I toil and struggle playing the game fair while they laugh and jeer with glee
As they leave us in the smoke and fires during the alliance tourney.
They use these accounts to feed massive armies to pound on my alliance family
Dear Santa who watches over the game of GGE needs glasses for many
Do not even try to hide the fact that they break the more than one rule daily
Just add a number, open another account where all the castles the same name carry,
Get your elves to work to find these accounts used by the bully.
We love the game one on one you see
These guys think it is okay to use accounts three
To slash and burn all of us who work fairly

A GGE CHRISTMAS TALE
Twas a hard winter in the Empire, Abandon Castle and Burning Castle, yet still there were battles to fight.
War has taking a toll of many Alliances throughout the kingdom, but still the battles were coming 4 waves
5 waves and the curse 6 wave Attacks, how can we counter theses attacks , as we watch the the 6 waves chills run through us , what can we do , someone shouted open the gate let them take what they want , and let them leave we can fight another day.
Although we hated doing this we could not open daily as the cost would be enormous then a stranger arrive from another alliance and told us the if we introduce a fire station it would help , also he sold us gems these also helps us against fires from any attack , but the most important of all he said hire a hero this will complete your protection from destruction from attacks. NO MORE FIRES .
But cheers turn to sadness as they witness the plunder they took as there army specialise in taking food , when this happened there armies took flight . The DESERTED damn we might as well have fought and lost our army through fighting. The Generals said this is not good enough, when we see attacks we panic donate all resources to alliance funds , so although we do not fight we still lose .
We heard a rumour the there was a New Instructor in the Empire , who has brought the new robotic troop recruitera must have if you have war , so we hastily recruited this new update to are amazement we could recruit 4000 soldiers a day more if you could stay awake and have a feast every 6 hours , so we saw these amazing troops so many but we had to feed them , which could be a problem , so we sent are best soldiers to loot and this balance the problem.
There were many Ruby Alliances out there but now the poor could stand there ground against these Armies so now instead of losing all battle we could defend the foolish battles , or just burn the first wave of tools off there attacks , because we had martyrs willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the Alliance .
So thankyou GGE for sending us the Specialist Instructors to help Balance attacks

A Christmas Tale
In Castle Eib at Winterhold,
The nights are long, if truth be told.
The wenches, stout and poorly dressed
Always strive to do their best.
They slave away in kitchens all
To make a mighty feast to call
The Knights from all around the land
Who’ll wander in and lend a hand
With lights and bunting to be hung,
A tree to dress and carols sung.
There’s food a-plenty from the store,
As well as wine, and beer, and more.
The party beats ring through the night
Til in the early pre-dawn light
A fat old guy in a big red coat,
Drives his sleigh across the moat.
With Christmas presents by the score
All wrapped, to drop at every door.
And in the morning when they rise
The children have a big surprise
For in each child’s Christmas sack
A lump of coal lies, hard and black.
For none of them were good this year
And as they look around they hear
An echo from the night just past
A laughing echo, fading fast.

Everybody else wrote a poem, but poetry diminishes what you can say and
restricts natural flow of thought. A drawing is worth a thousand words,
and I hate poems that don't rhyme.
I drew the samurai sword equipment piece from the samurai event, which is part of the ice event, so it counts for this creative contest. It doesn't look exactly like the EQ piece, and that was definitely intentional. I drew it to look more like Souji Okita's katana than the samurai piece, but close enough. And the Japanese character beside the sword is the word for 'sincerity or 'truth' I think...

In Chinese, the character actually stands for "test", as in testing for something。
I believe the character you're looking for is this, pronounced as "cheng" and means sincerity or honesty
(In simplified Chinese)Of course I'm not sure about the Japanese characters, just my $0.02 worth
