Topic: [327231] Hall of Legends: Points reset issue

[-327231] CM Evoke [None] :: Jan. 16, 2017, 6:32 p.m.

Hey guys,

We have recently identified an issue with the new HoL point reset rework.
Resets are not being considered in the skip calculation, therefore the server takes every reset a player ever made as base number for the calculation.

Which means, that for players that have done resets in the past the price will be unintentionally high.

We reiterate, this calculation is not intended, thus we would like to explain in more detail an example of the desired outcome.

In old formulas, the price of resetting was always dependent on the amount of legendary points you had. If it was your 2nd or even your 11th reset it was not considered.

For example;

To reset 108 points you had to spend a fixed amount of 21,600 rubies, not only that you would have to wait 30 days to reset it for free again.

Now you can reset the points for free every 7 days regardless of whether you have used any ruby resets. For example with 108 points the 2nd reset would be 4,760 rubies, 3rd would be 5,380 rubies and 4th would be 9,600 and the 5th reset would be 25220. However, keep in mind that the 6th reset will cost you 67240 and so forth. These ruby costs reset to 0 every 7 days, meaning you don't miss out on the free reset. Thus, the first resets for players with more points are cheaper, however the price is increasing the more you reset.

Apologies for the inconveniences and we will keep you updated on our next steps.

Today we will perform a small downtime in order to credit the Ice Championship compensation see this announcement.

We will also reset the HoL skill points so that the correct price calculations are presented you for resetting the skill points in future, additionally everyone should have 1 free reset once the servers are back up!

Once again. apologies for any inconveniences.

Hi all,

The downtime is happening now, and should last for roughly 25 minutes.

Thanks,

Angus
