Yeah its been like this for a long time, the whole story behind berrimond and even its whole purpose, has been a total lie. and the event may as well just be 1 big tower that you hit over and over for no other reason its there and it gives you prizes if you do. There really is nothing else to the event, no purpose, no story, no end, no tactics, no challenge. no side vs side. And certainly no possibility of actually "winning!" Just another mindless endless event. thats been dumbed down so that any real skill that was ever needed to do well is long gone. Of course rather than fix properly it properly its been botched so it still functions, And the only reason its been fixed at all is because its a good money spinner for GGE, so as long as the money making bit is fixed who cares if its fun, or a good event. As long as people keep buying gallentry boosters its all good. If it didnt make money it would be on the scrap heap like Berrimond invasion and royal cap event. regardless of how many people had spent money on it building up their capital, or collecting coins for a commander they now cant get.

I heard, before my time, that there was a chance at winning the event in Beri. Not sure why that is not the case anymore? The royal city event was actually interesting and of course the AT was the best. The reason that got thrown out was some alliances where "boosting" hitting their farms that had set up. A small war happened on the US server because of that. I still have those chests for the Royal city event not sure what GGE will do regarding those items.

So how long is the "time frame" in which we have to use it? Some of us get paid monthly and wont be able to use it right away. And what does "not stackable" mean anyways?

Yes Berri was very much winnable in the old days, it was a quite different event back then, you lost / gained honour in PVP within berri. Which made it interesting although put some people off. Also the event required real teamwork, and co operation between people on your side regardless of which alliance they were in. It required co ordinated round the clock tower hitting, to ensure towers were hit as soon as they cooled down. To enable this there were often little tower hitting skype rooms set up. It allowed you to get to know people in other alliances you may not have spoken to before. It required tactics, should we defend our tower? if so when? when could we stall their attacks for the longest. It was a pure race to the capitals then there was stratergy in who to take out first in the free for all of the endgame. tag teaming the strongest players to take them out. protecting your tower hitters and disrupting the best you can their tower hitters.
It was the only event in the game that could actually be won by experience, and good tactics. Now all events are won through a combination of time played / money spent.
After this they dumbed it down into just another tower hitting event. I guess to make more money. Even if they change the event so its winnable it will only be a shadow of the old event. it will still be about simply how many armies you can throw at a tower rather than timing your hits, with very little tactics needed just who can throw the most hits out.
Its a shame back then GGE proved it could produce in game events that required skill and thought, and offered something very different to the normal gameplay. And the event clones we see today. It seems events now are built not to be interesting or require thought and or planning or skill, they just require you to buy a load of boosters / chests / banners etc. And then you do well. If there was ever a case of development being about whats gonna make money first rather than whats innovative and challenging. this is it.

I would say its always been about money but at the very start for this games life it was good. Beri/nomads came round once in a blue moon we had wars after wars for fun. But as time has gone on its been all about how much they can make us spend.
Like Philt123 said Beri was a great event (the real Beri not this scam). Now that its not going to be possible to win what is the point.
Next thing will be we have a monthly subscription being added. For it you get the joys of playing but also you will have the chance to spend more money on pointless events.
Maybe use should start again and stop thinking its all about money. This game will be nothing without customers. But at the end over the day use have to think about is it worth the money that's being paid. well the simple answer is no pixels have no value only fun. So stop making things cost a bomb reduce pricing hey you mind find out more buy more often.
If you are rewarding loyalty make sure its before they buy if its after that's just a D*** move and will show use do not care for us only your income.

Well i too rember when the good times were here, but alas now the personal bonus has gone , my money stays in my pocket , i use to wait in anticipation for a personal bonus to pop up when to offers were on , thats is when i fill my boots
So it seems now ,with the doubler comes , i am not realy that interested because if i can only get it once a month then i will save £75 per month

I spent more on this game in 2015 than I did in 2016 and 2017 combined.
Keep making these changes. My soon-to-be wife is loving them.

LOL I am same mate. And I guess Most other ruby buyers too. I do sometimes chuckle at the thought process of incentivising players to buy less frequently. I mean its an interesting concept, But if thats what GGE want me to do who am I to argue. I will keep my money in my pocket.

The thing is the whales or players that have finished ruby development get "less" from buying as they do not need the rubies themselves most of the time so without good offers those obviously do not buy , after 2 months of not buying I am get private 100% primes again though.

Yes thats what i mean, If you buy once every 2 months you get rubies at a 100% discount, if you buy every week they cost you twice as much. its a no brainer just buy once a very 2 months.
