But it is also a side event that is completely optional and the only pvp event currently available. Plenty of people complaining about the event despite the fact that there will also be a commander expected to come out later as well and of course if this event were to be removed permanently then just like some of the other sets like the Berimond Invasion commander for example you might have to spend rubies to buy if really want the equipment and also gems because of it being a 9 piece commander as the only way to get the set instead of being able to get it from this event. (Bloodcrows and Foreigners do not in any way reflect real pvp at all even though they may sometimes have big castles as well and especially because of their weak attacks and large number of small and/or weak castles.)man38 (US1) said:this event is a waste of time..dump it gge
There could also be an argument that purchasing gold coins, tools and/or ruby soldiers should be included in this event as well, but this event may not necessarily have been intended to replace the royal capital event or the alliance tournament either which might help explain why the rewards are so limited to only bags, decorations, and later commander sets.
A waste of time? That depends largely on how many tools you have, having trouble feeding your troops or not, and can afford to take your time attacking with a large army on targets that are limited to only five totems per day. I don't know about you, but I always have plenty of 20% rams, 20% breaching ladders, 15% shields, and even ruby moat tools now without ever having to spend rubies to buy them. I always have plenty of them without ever needing to spend rubies to have more. Plenty of ways to get the 15% shield tools, 20% breaching ladders, and 20% rams as well including gifts, pro mode wheel of fortune which requires you to spend money on the game only once to even unlock it, and especially from the monthly events to name at least a few examples of this. You can also get a large amount of these tools on the last couple of pages of the monthly events until page 20 as well. Also included in the monthly events is a huge number of fast moat tools (with 28 speed) that could also be used for pvp as well and some of the tools could be returned back even if you lose the battle as well.

If we keep this asinine event, how about if you lose a battle vs shapes, you don't have to see the stupid blue arrows coming back and it treats it like the troops are lost.

Seems to be a bit confusing. Saw a few comments....No defenders lost, etc.......just had an attack against my Main by Shapeshifter, 1990 troops........defended with 5603troops...........I lost 375 defenders, but none went to hospital.........they just disappeared......and the hospital (605 capacity) was empty when the attack hit. Another need to be addressed?

It's correct, Flash.
On defense against shapeshifters you lose nothing at all. It only shows a battle report of what would have been lost if it was real.
When you attack a shapeshifter though (on normal mode), it's different. You lose whatever tools were used up in your attack (but not your troops, those come back to you even if they "died")
If you attack a shapeshifter in hardmode, you lose whatever troops died in the attack as well. That is the only way in this event to actually lose troops for real.

Glory Decay is an issue that is really bothering us all.
Ever since the massive update with the shape-shoplifters we all have the
continuing feeling of a burglar breaking into our castle every night robbing us blind.
All of the comments by gge seem to indicate that we will never be reimbursed or made whole again for
our losses which turn from a snowball rolling downhill into a giant avalanche affecting everything from our
resources to might points and alliance status.
This needs to stop now and we need to be compensated for this continued digital theft and frustration.
We would all appreciate it very much gge if you would address this quickly and find a way to remedy our stolen glory.

If the men weren't supposed to actually die, then that may explain why my men disappeared and food consumption was the same. I moved what was left out of the castle, logged off, back in and sent them back. Food consumption changed to what it should be (minus the defenders). I am taking it that this was a glitch. The men were acting like they were there, but they weren't. No other problems since then, but I also haven't participated in the event. Not exactly the best introduction.

hey after how many days each shapeshifter event will start after the before one ends?
i want to buy the both commanders by playing atleast shapeshifter 1 year
as per my thinking if u keep shapeshifter everyday it will become famous and u will get a good name for GGE
