If you do all that, you really earned your pointsDark Venom (ASIA1) said:So my actual thoughts on this event.
The event is exploitable. I have 300k might with equipment a few titles and 1k troops. I take out all equipment and decos I now am a 90k player. So suddenly I'm playing against castles with no defense and get easy points. So with a theory brought to my attention by other forum users, 2k points for every fully loaded attack on 80 troops. Maybe more if less troops.
Watching videos of legendary level 800s play they seem to be with the best of the best, ruby cast and 10k defense. Leading to 800 points if lucky. So obviously there is an issue with that too.
Is there a chart that shows point breakdowns. Every attack seems completely random. I kill 2000 enemy and still get very little points one time, and meanwhile even if none of my defenders die, I lose 100 points. If I don't lose anyone, why do I lose points?
Why not change the settings that instead of your best overall day, you want your best of each castle. So each day you are trying to improve each of the 5. It's to random if your targets are defended, so this way you have a better chance of changing your rankings.
Because GGE can do whatever they want , when they want with no explanation to any of there customers {Mugs }graveyard (NL1) said:I wonder... it says 'till the 22th of february''... in my calculations, that is only tomorrow.. so why was the event removed yesterday? Did not spot an explanation, reason or another excuse to fk up your schedule once again...
just like the last fiasco berimond
You don't lose points when attacked. If you look closely and move your cursor over the points (purple/pink teardrops) in the defense-report, you will notice that it says 'points earned by the opponent'. That means the amount of points the attacker gets.MacGregor77 (US1) said:Is there a chart that shows point breakdowns. Every attack seems completely random. Concernig the points you earn yourself when attacking, I can't give a definitive answer.... I tkink you earn more point when you lose lesser troops yourself. I.e. like when you kill 1.5k defense and you yourself loose 250 attackers, you earn ore points than when you kill 3k def, but yourself lose 1.5k attackers. At least that's my experience.
they're still searching for sheepshitters.. look like the GGE staff is on holidaykajacro (GB1) said:So, where IS Shapeshifters? Not a word from anybody about its disappearance :-(
I think there are some issues. Names of comms or other indicators need to be invisible to the defender. I have noticed some incomings with potential "call signs".
The event wasn't long enough this time around. Reset every two days is too frequent however I understand the need for a reset. I didn't make sense that a good first day should be rewarded for the entire event.
If a defence strategy is employed simply to burn tools (eg a 1.1.99) I would like GGE to take that into account. Perhaps a limit on the number of tools used in an attack (loss or victory) would make everyone a lot happier. Just a thought.
I would also like rewards for a good defence. Perhaps the odd ruby defence tool etc or points towards to good cast set. It would be a shame if the attacks are just ignored.
Hear! hear! Totally agree with almost all of this. I understand there are some wrinkles that still could use ironing out, but as a mostly non-ruby player who isn't in a giant alliance, I love the chance to spar with strong players without having to risk stirring up anything unpleasant with a much bigger alliance. Plus the equipment is terrific. I just wish we could find out why the event disappeared early this time, and it would also be great to have a sense of the schedule we can expect for when it will come back.Classe2 (GB1) said:I really like the event. As a player in a small alliance it is is a great opportunity to test your comms and strategies against good players. It's also very good that you are playing against others of a similar level. (how this is worked out I don't know but it's appears to me to be about right), however we need to know this cannot be manipulated. Yes luck is involved for sure and a longer event would even this out.

Only place where I don't fully agree is re. the suggestion to lengthen the rotations. The two-day rounds seemed about right to me.
Step 1 spy and find biggest castles.
Step 2 send 32 troops all hardcore ticked
12000 points. no effort. errrrr.
Can you please sort this out.
For the good of the game this is a non event until you do.
