How the Open Test Server works & how to give feedback
We are very excited to start this journey with you in improving the quality of Goodgame Empire. The open test server will be available for players to test the latest updates before they reach our live servers, in an effort to reduce bugs and technical setbacks on those servers.
We would first like to focus on getting the test server working as smoothly as possible and give everyone the opportunity to make progress before we start the first phase of testing, and thus there is no dedicated content to test just yet. But do not fear! More information regarding new content will be provided on the English test server forum that you can access through your new test server account!
On the test server forum you will have direct access to our Quality Assurance team, so as soon as there are new features to test, we encourage you to join the community and share your feedback with us.
The kind of feedback we’re looking for includes;
Have found any bugs or issues in the game, are there crashes during certain actions?
Honest feedback regarding new content and mechanics. If you think something doesn’t work well, let us know and suggest how it could be improved!
Anything you’re especially happy about? A pre existing feature isn’t so underpowered anymore? Please confirm this to the team and the fellow community so that they may focus on other new improvements.
How to join the Open Test Server
If you haven’t already made an account on the test server, you can do this by going to the usual game log-in page and selecting the following;
Important to keep in mind;
The shop is available but there will be no refunds or guarantees, and anything purchased may be deleted or reset
Our Quality Assurance team will also be testing on this server alongside you
It is available to all players
The test server forum will be English only, for efficient communication to our quality assurance team
The test server will only be online during testing phases
There will be no dedicated support, apart from the forum
In general, accounts, items, resources and premium currency can be reset or deleted at any time without warning.
Notices in-game will be shown by clicking the ‘Empire Test Server’ Banner. This is also where you will find the forum button!
