Topic: [353186] Clarification for the new Tiered Prime days

[-353186] ang1243 (GB1) [GB1] :: June 12, 2018, 2:17 p.m.
Hi everyone,

As it seems that many players are (understandably) confused somewhat by these new tiered prime days - we'd like to post a hopefully more clear explanation than the previous one.

Both the explanation, as well as the visual display in-game seemed to result in a misunderstanding of how the offers should function. In order to clarify any misunderstandings we would like to emphasize on the following points, which will be explained by examples below

This is the example package which we will use:

In this offer there are 3 tiers - each containing a Khan tablet booster amongst other things:

- Tier 1 - 2 hours of +350% Khan Tablets looted
Tier 2 - 2 hours of +400% Khan Tablets looted
Tier 3 - 2 hours of +500% Khan Tablets looted

If you purchase 180,000 rubies - and therefore unlock Tier 3 - then you will only be credited with the highest booster percentage  - in this case 500% - which will run for 2 hours, nothing else, because it overwrites the previous (and lower-) booster percentages.

The reason for this is that the boosters have different percentage bonus values and therefore are not considered equal. So that means that their run-times will not accumulate/stack/run in series.

You do receive the +350% and +400% booster - however they are overridden by the higher bonus percentage.

The reasoning behind this change is to allow higher percentage boosters to be offered in-game, without demanding very high thresholds for ruby purchases - this way you can choose which level you want to pay for.

If you plan on purchasing more than the full 3 tiers, feel free to open the spoiler, if not - it'll just cause more confusion:
Carrying on with the previous example of the 3 tiers:

Tier 1 - 2 hours of +350% Khan Tablets looted
Tier 2 - 2 hours of +400% Khan Tablets looted
Tier 3 - 2 hours of +500% Khan Tablets looted

If you purchase for example 230,000 rubies  on the offer above - you would unlock all 3 tiers, and tier 1 a 2nd time - this means that you would be technically credited with the following:

4 hours of +350% Khan Tablets looted
2 hours of +400% Khan Tablets looted
2 hours of +500% Khan Tablets looted

This means, that the +500% Khan Tablets looted will run for 2 hours first, after this has finished - the +400% boost will have run out, and the first 2 hours of the +350% booster will have been used. However, you will still have 2 hours of the +350% booster left - and this will run after the first 2 hours are over.

So say you purchased the booster at 16.00 CEST:

You would have the +500% booster run from 16:00 to 18:00, followed by the +350% booster running from 18:00 to 20:00

Please remember this example in the booster is only relevant for purchasing more than just part of the first 3 tiers :+1:
The other type of tiered prime day which you will have seen in-game in the past is as follows:

Tier 1 - 1 hour of 250%

Tier 2 - 1 hour of 250%
Tier 3 - 2 hours of 250%

This sort of offer only contains boosters of the same value and therefore - they are cumulative - if you purchase 180,000 rubies in this case, and unlock all 3 tiers,  then you will be credited with 4 full hours of the same boost.

We deeply apologize for any difficulties this might have resulted in and hope that any misunderstandings will be cleared by the explanation above.

Cheers,

Angus
