Dear Community,

a very hot Summer came to our great Empire and together with it a season that puts our residents, your troops and yourself, as well as an epic event into motion. Epic indeed, for it shall be something worthy of our king and his entiry kingdom! Get ready and prepare yourselves, for we proudly present to you our upcoming tournament: The Kingdoms Cup! 

New Event: The Kingdoms Cup 

Fierce warriors and athletes of our Great Empire, welcome to The Kingdoms Cup! 

This tournament will not only be a challenge for you and your fellow players. It will especially test how good your teamwork skills are! 
You want to know what we mean by that? Well let us jump right into the fray and get down to business! 

How does this event work? 

The Kingdoms Cup is a tournament, which is based on the FIFA World Cup! There will be qualifications, group-phases, finals, etc. and to give you a proper overview of how this will actually play out in our games Empire and Empire: Four Kingdoms, let's take a quick look at the event structure for a moment: 

 So all servers will participate in the Kingdoms Cup from the beginning. They will fight for the best points and try to qualify for the next phase. At the end of this Server Qualification the Top 10 global servers will make it to the next phase. For this first stage only: all of the Top 10 servers will get the Gold rewards, while all the other servers that did not make it will get the Silver rewards. 

The next phase hails the beginning of the competition between all Alliances from those Top 10 qualified servers: The Alliance Qualification! Only the Top 4 Alliances per server will qualify for the next phase, so that makes 40 Alliances in total, to enter into our next phase, the so called Group Phase of the Kingdoms Cup. This phase will get even more competitive: We will have 8 groups with 5 Alliances each and only 2 Alliances per group will qualify for the next phase. 

The so called Best of 16 phase starts the Knockout Rounds, where Alliances will directly compete with each other for who can make the highest point score. Only the winners of those 1v1 encounters will qualify for the next round and this will apply as well for the next phases, which are the Quarter-finals and the Semi-finals. 

In our Game Intern Finals the two best alliances from Empire will battle against each other for the overall game winner. But as you see, there is still the Grand Finals phase left, so let us talk about that for a moment. The Grand Finals will be an incredible battle where the Game Intern Finals winner from Empire and the Game Intern Finals winner from Empire: Four Kingdoms will clash against each other and only one of them will rise as the overall World Champion of the Kingdoms Cup. 

There is a very special twist during the Grand Finals though: the Top 10 servers of each game will help their respective game Champion out and support him/her during his final battle. 
This means that the Empire Champion will be acredited with the overall average point sum of the Empire Top 10 servers, while the Empire: Four Kingdoms Champion will be accredited with the overall average point sum of the Empire: Four Kingdoms Top 10 servers! 

We would also like to point out, that during the course of the Kingdoms Cup, we will always count the points of the respectively running events. In order to explain this we would like to give you a short example: 

If you take a look into the event plan, then you can see that the Alliance Qualification will be running at the same as the Samurai Invasion, so all the event specific points (e.g. for the Samurai Invasion) that players can get during that period will be counted towards the qualification ranking. This means that if your server excels during that period - makes a lot of points in the Samurai Invasion - and makes it to the global Top 10 of our servers then you have successfully qualified for the next phase. 

The same principle applies for all of the other events and their respective stages (e.g. points during Bloodcrow Invasion for the Quarter Finals, points during Samurai Invasion for the Semi Finals etc.)!

So that's all about how the event will work, but let us go on with what you will be able to win during the course of the Kingdoms Cup. 

What can I win?

The distribution of the Kingdoms Cup rewards will be based on what you all know from previous Battle of Nations, but there will be two components this time around. On the one hand we have the Alliance Competition and on the other hand we will have the overall Server Competition for each respective stage. 

First we would like to present you the rewards for the Alliance Competition: 

Because of our tournament structure there will be rewards for the winning alliances, but also for the losing ones. 
In order to give you a quick overview of how and to whom the rewards will be distributed, you can take a look at the following list: 

We will give you a more detailed example on what the Kingdoms Cup Sets are made of during the course of the next week! 

Furthermore, the event itself will feature a Battle of Nations aspect, where the participating servers will be rewarded as well. As mentioned before all of the Top 10 servers during Phase 1 will get the Gold rewards, while the other ones will get the Silver rewards. 
For all of the following Phases (2-8) the Top 3 servers get the Gold rewards, while all of the other servers will get the Silver rewards.

Phase 2 - Alliance Qualification (18th of June - 22nd of June()

Phase 3 - Group Phase (22nd of June - 25th of June) 

Gold - Reward level 10-44     Shield wall x 400, Heavy ram x 300, Breaching tower x 300    

Gold - Reward level 45+        Base food production build item level 7 x 1 

Silver - Reward level 10+      Shield wall x 200, Heavy ram x 100, Breaching tower x 100

Phase 4 - Best of 16 (25th of June - 29th of June) 

Gold - Reward level 10+       Temporary Equipment Set: Armor of the foreign warlord

Silver - Reward level 10+      200 x Shield wall, 100 x Heavy ram, 100 x Breaching tower  

Phase 5 - Quarter Finals (29th of June - 2nd of July)

Gold - Reward level 10-44    Shield wall x 400, Heavy ram x 300, Breaching tower x 300

Gold - Reward level 45+        Base food production build item level 8 x 1

Silver - Reward level 10+      Shield wall x 200, Heavy ram x 100, Breaching tower x 100  

Phase 6 - Semi Finals (2nd of July - 6th of July)

Gold - Reward level 30+        Temporary Equipment Set: The bear's strength

Silver - Reward level 10+       Shield wall x 200, Heavy ram x 100, Breaching tower x 100  

Phase 7 - Game Intern Finals(6th of July - 11th of July) 

Gold - Reward level 10+         Decoration: Masters Cup, 350 PO

Silver - Reward level 10+        Shield wall x 200, Heavy ram x 100, Breaching tower x 100 

Phase 8 - Grand Finals (11th of July - 16th of July) 

Gold - Reward level 10-69       Kingdoms Cup Set Common 1

Gold - Reward level 70+          Kingdoms Cup Set Common 2 

Silver - Reward level 10+         Shield wall x 200, Heavy ram x 100, Breaching tower x 100  

The Kingdoms Cup Decorations: 

We will give away the Guard of honor decoration to all of our players, as a participation gift: 

Guard of honor, 100 Public order

Depending on how far you can get in the tournament and how much points your servers can make, you will have the chance to win the following decorations: 

Field of glory, 250 Public order

 

Masters Cup, 350 Public order

Grail of the defensive rock, 500 Public order

Chalice of the hattrick hero, 700 Public order

The Kingdoms Cup, 900 Public order

 

Important:

The point series which are counted for the last phase's Shapeshifter run during our Grand Finals, will have their last reset on the 16th of July at 1:00 AM CEST, meaning that this is the time were we will count the last relevant points for the overall ranking! So make sure to finish your attacks before that.

If your alliance qualifies during the Alliance Qualification, then you will be signed for it for the whole duration of the Kingdoms Cup. This means that all points that you generate during this event, will be counted to this Alliance and none else. If you decide to leave said Alliance during a later stage of the event, then your "new" Alliance will not profit from you as an additional member, because - as mentioned before -  your points will count only for the Alliance that you are a member of, during the moment of it's qualification. 

How will you announce the rankings?

We will announce the rankings on a daily basis via our Community Hub, which all of you can reach under the following domain https://empire.community! We will also do some Twitch Streams during the course of the Kingdoms Cup, not for each day, but for sure towards the highly competitive phases of our event. The exact timings for those will be announced by us on the Community Hub!
