Topic: [353606] New Feature: The Power System

[-353606] Temprance [None] :: June 18, 2018, 12:27 p.m.

Fierce warriors,

You are evolving on a daily basis and getting better with all of the adventures and challenges that you are facing. Soon all of your equipment will do so as well!

We want to introduce you to a new system which revolves around equipment, gems and heroes and how those will behave in the future. This new feature is called: The Power System!
Without any further ado, let’s get right down to business and talk about how this new system will work out in Empire.

The Power System will work in two ways or layers, which are focused on your equipment, your gems and your heroes.

The first one is called power rarity and focuses on the overall rarity of the aforementioned pieces. It will be displayed by different colors. Which you might already be familiar with, but for sake of a quick overview we would like to list them with an ascending quality from top to bottom:

  1. Ordinary (Grey color)

  2. Rare (Green color)

  3. Epic (Purple color)

  4. Legendary (Orange color)

  5. Unique (Red color)

So for example, ordinary rarity is displayed as in grey, while epic rarity is displayed in purple.

The second one focuses on the so called Power level, which will be displayed by a number. The Power levels will range from 1 - 9 so level 1 will be the lowest level, while level 9 will be the highest level.

With the Power System being implemented there can be situations, where equipments/gems/heroes might have the same name and appearance, but can have other effect values and/or additional effects, due to the Power rarity and Power level.

We will give you an example for that:
Let’s say you have two sets called “Armor of the foreign warlord” and the first one has a rare Power rarity and is level 1, while the other has an epic Power rarity and is level 2, then even though their names are the same, the overall effect values will be different and one even might have several effects more than the other one.

Visually the star system will be depicted in such a way, as the following graphic shows:

So as you can see both the Power System Level, as well as the Power rarity will be depicted on the upper right corner.

As you also can see, there are different icons in the upper left corner. The icon that depicts the hourglass stands for temporary equipment and if the equipment has a gem, then the temporary icon will be replaced by the gem icon. This icon will only be visible if the equipment has a gem in it.

There are of course also equipments, gems and/or heroes that do not have a power rarity and power level. If that is the case then the visual elements you see above won’t be displayed for said pieces.

The implementation of the Power System is something which we already talked with you about in one of our Twitch Streams. It is an integral part of an overall feature system which deals with how equipment will behave, but as you might remember, we also talked about decorations.

We recently introduced the global decoration inventory to you and there is coming even more! A new feature will allow you to upgrade certain decorations to make them even stronger by fusing your other decorations into them. Stay tuned as we will reveal more details of that feature!

Your Empire Team
