Dear Lords and Ladies,
As you all know from History, time leads to changes. Very often, things we have already got used to evolve for the better and thus, start a new era of living. The development of our game is no exception here.
Today we want to show you what's coming next and what will change with the way you have been playing Empire, in regards to the use of your decorations and equipment, the latter will come a bit later into our game compared to the changes to decorations. Our brand-new Fusion System (working title) will affect both of these aforementioned game elements.
With one of our previous updates, we already introduced the well-received decoration inventory which is slightly linked to the Fusion System and there will be some additional changes coming up for it.
One of the main reasons for bringing this feature into our game is to establish and maintain a system which provides you with a long term feature, which will enable you to create improved decorations and equipment (to a certain degree)! It will also tackle the currently high amount of equipment and decorations you have in your storage. The Fusion system and its extensions will provide you with a new and engaging way of progressing in the game, as well as having new and exciting adventures in our Empire. All of this will also include extended major events and new game modes, that are currently planned for the beginning of next year!
Well, without further ado, let us jump right into the topic and explain how this will all work.
How will the Fusion System work?
The name Fusion System itself already teases a bit of what you are going to do: You will fuse certain ingredients in order to create a better version of one of these components!
In short, this means that you will have to pick a target and fuse specific sources into it (sacrificing them in return) in order to get something better as your end result. So you will need one target and one source, as well as a specific fusion resource to make the whole process work. This system will be available for players of level 70 and above.
The Fusion System includes two specific features that specify on the aforementioned creation process. They are fittingly called the Decoration Forge and the Equipment Forge (working titles).
The Decoration Forge:
The Decoration Forge will enable you to improve the decorations that you currently own, by fusing them with others. It is currently planned to work as follows:
You pick a decoration as your target (the one that you want to improve)
After doing that, you will be able to pick a source (another deco, e.g. a weaker one that you don’t want to use anymore) to fuse with your target decoration
Then you select one of the fusion materials, in this case so called fusion catalysts
After all of these 3 essential steps are taken you will be able to proceed with your fusion
Please note: In the aforementioned process of fusing your decorations, both the source, as well as the catalyst, will be sacrificed. This means that you will lose them in the process of crafting/fusing.
The previously mentioned and essential catalyst, will be obtainable by crafting them from another fusion material that will be called “Dust” (working title). In the game you will have multiple sources of obtaining said “Dust”.
The decoration fusion itself will also cost fusion currency which will be obtainable by participating in our events. The amount of fusion currency required for getting the Decoration Forge working will be based on the fusion level of the decoration that you pick as a target. There will be an additional small cost of resources (under 5,000), but those costs are going to be fixed and will be comprised of
Iron
Coal
Oil
Glass
This system furthermore introduces the so called Decoration Fusion Levels.
Those fusion levels will determine the amount of public order that your decorations will have in the end, as follows: the higher the fusion level of the decoration, the higher the public order value!
The decoration fusion will be reachable by clicking on a fusion system icon in your interface, right next to your Travel overview.
The exact and specific numbers, as well as additional and more in-depth behaviour information (like decoration forge dialogue, visuals, or questions like ”how are the essential resources crafted?”, etc.) will follow in one of the upcoming Update Info announcements in the coming weeks.
The Equipment "Forge" (Working title):
Similar to what the Decoration Forge does to your decorations, the Equipment Forge will enable you to upgrade your equipment items!
We are going to introduce the Equipment Forge along with a new rarity level called Relic (working title) and the way this system works is similar to what you will be doing with your Decoration Forge:
You will need to pick an equipment piece of the newly added rarity level, sacrifice equipment that you’ll no longer need or that you have too many of and spend a fusion currency which will also be a catalyst. The catalyst for this system will be a different one though, so you will not be able to pick a decoration catalyst for the Equipment Forge and vice versa.
The equipment sets of this new rarity level will only be available in 9-Piece sets. Each of these sets will have a set bonus level and by fusing them you will be able to increase this set bonus level, resulting in the increase of the overall set bonus effects!
All set bonuses will require you to equip all of the 9 pieces of course.
Additional Changes
In the wake of the aforementioned systems implementation, we would also like to give you a sneak peak on some major changes to our events.
Something that we plan to implement are the so called Hard modes which will enable players to pick a difficulty that is going to increase the strength of your enemies, the points required for our activity rewards, etc. We also want to tackle some of the major issues that everyone has been having with events, like for example the castle levels during the War of the Realms event. Those things are currently planned for the final quarter of the year though.
As some parts of this are planned for a later point in this year, therefore being labeled as currently planned like this, they may well be subject to change in the future. We will keep you updated on the status of those features still to be implemented and of course will present the upcoming ones to you in one of our next Update Infos!
Best regards,
Your Empire Family
Sounds like actually a decent update. Especially the "hard mode."BM ang1243 said:Dear Lords and Ladies,

I also hope that free to play players can also use this and it is not just for ruby whales to get more po
as a GGE cynic I would say this is the first stage of making our current equipement redundant (ditto re decos) and cost mega rubies to do properly of course.shurk (US1) said:I truly hope that this is not RNG based and you cant just throw rubies into it to get a god set

The way I see it - first GGE makes sure they remove any diversity by introducing the 9 pieces sets so everyone has the same, while at the same time making the drastic changes when it came to capping the values and now based on what is mentioned how it will work seems we will be able again go over the max values, no?
Otherwise what is the point of it all? I mean if you have 9 pieces that need to be equally leveled for sure sets will go over cap values. So there we get again some sort of diversity and customization only it will cost more than it did before and for ruby players it will be easy for non ruby not so easy and the gap will only widen. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yeah but to be honest, everything else is like this right? Updates like this are to just be ignored by us normal players.the1winner1 (US1) said:sounds good except that this will be easily made that ruby whales even more OP than non -ruby buyers...
"...well-received Deco inventory..." HAHAHAHAHAHAH !!!
GGS is now into comedy OFFICIALLY !

They never stated in what year it would come eh?
but can you please consider releasing HTML5 so the lag could come to an end and increase stability?
And restart the thorn king event ?
Announcement => Awesome
Reality => Meh, at least it's not horrible
Not holding my breath in anticipation

need to put a cap on the amount of rubies anyone can buy to make gameplay fair.. these highend alliances thrive on ruby sales... take that away or put a cap on it and watch the gameplay fair it self out..and for those of you that think its a bad idea.. actually ssit down and think about it for a minute before you make a comment..
yes it is a bad idea cause then ggs does not make enough money and fires more people and game becomes even worseWARRIORCHRIS69 (US1) said:need to put a cap on the amount of rubies anyone can buy to make gameplay fair.. these highend alliances thrive on ruby sales... take that away or put a cap on it and watch the gameplay fair it self out..and for those of you that think its a bad idea.. actually ssit down and think about it for a minute before you make a comment..
