We’ve had a blast during the beginning of this year already, but we’re continuing this with our upcoming February update!
This update welcomes our Outer Realms event back to its third iteration with a new scoring mechanic. Of course, we’ve implemented further updates to this event, which also incorporated ideas that were based on your previous feedback. Since there will be a dedicated announcement for the this updated version of the Outer Realms, let’s jump right into the action an take a look at what’s also coming in this month’s update:
Collector’s Event - Carnival of the Phoenix
February heralds the return of our collector’s event. This time around it’s going to be a colorful hunt for beads in our “Carnival of the Phoenix”!
The mechanics will be similar to both of our previous versions (The Reaper's Wrath & The Winter's Prey):
At the beginning of the event, you’ll receive a certain amount of beads
.
Beads can be stolen from enemy players, but they can also be stolen from you vice versa!
And, of course, troops won’t suffer any losses, as long as they got send out via the event attack (which will look like the following):
Look-item artifact: Phoenix mask
Castle Skins:
Decoration: Jester’s mask
You will be able to purchase them via the event rewards for beads, as well as with rubies. The skins are only cosmetic skins though, which means, that there will be no stats bonuses for them. The new castle skins are permanent, but you can't slot them with gems.
New appearance items
3 new appearance construction items will make their way into the game (available through offers for now)
Tree village quarry
Tree village stonemason
Hollow tree market
1 new look item for the castellan (available in the armorer)
Axe of the tree village (no gem slot)
Nobility Contest - Reward System Rework
This month’s update will also include a rework for the reward system of our nobility contest, which will apply to all of our existing contests!
As part of this rework, all rewards of the nobility contest will be updated.
The individually selected rewards (3 activity rewards and 2 top rewards) will also be combined into new reward sets!
As a matter of this rework the points needed per reward bracket to obtain the new rewards got increased accordingly.
Let’s give you a quick example for what such a new reward can look like in the future:

The plan is to release this update next week. We will start with the update procedure early in the morning between 9:00 CET and 13:00 CET. The downtime is expected to be around 30-60 minutes long. Of course, food consumption and booster times will be frozen during the longer downtime. But as always, do not take these times as guaranteed, as delays due to unforeseen circumstances can occur.
