Legion of the Daimyos

Legion of the Daimyos is an add-on to our standard Samurai Invasion. There are two prerequisites to taking part however, you will have to have reached level seventy and you will need to be part of an alliance.

When you first start this event you will see four daimyo castles and four townships. Your mission is to defend the townships against the Daimyo’s Legion while also counter attacking their castles.

The beginning difficulty level for this event is quite high. Rank one enemies in the Legion of the Daimyos will be the same difficulty as the highest in the Samurai Invasion. Be prepared!

Townships:

You will need to send troops from your castles to defend the townships. However you will need to maintain a clear line of supply to each township. Therefore it is only possible to send troops from a single castle to a township. Your troops will not have long to travel to these, in fact they will arrive there instantly. Tools won’t even need to be sent. The tools in your main castle are also available for use in the townships.

Townships are ranked from one to four. The higher the rank of the township the more difficult will be the attack it has to defend. So make sure to garrison them appropriately paying a lot of attention to what troops are going where.

Townships will level up for successful defences. You will gain Shogun Points based on the level of the township and its rank. Once you have achieved enough Shogun Points then the township will level up for you. This in turn causes an increase in difficulty due to changes in units and commander stats.

Now that you have garrisoned the township with troops you will be able to taunt the Daimyo Castles into attacking you. As I mentioned before these are going to be difficult so be prepared. Once the Daimyo’s troops have been defeated you won’t be able to taunt them again instantly. There will be a cooldown period, which will increase based on castle rank.

One final word on the Townships, these aren’t mighty castles and fortresses and as such there is a strict limit on how many troops that can actually defend them.Townships have a maximum amount of troops that can be stationed there.

Castles:

Feeling brave, well you definitely are if you are going to bring the fight to the Daimyos in their castles. There are four castles for you to attack. These are also ranked from one to four and again this reflects the difficulty. By attacking them you will be able to have them level up. However this is based on a number of factors rather than simply defeating the castle.

The rank of the castle and its level are the main determiners of the number of Shogun Points you will receive after a successful attack. This is similar to the way that Townships level up as described above. Once you have gotten over a certain threshold of Shogun points you will trigger the castle to level up.

Once the castle triggers up there will be a slight but noticeable increase in difficulty just like the townships. Troops and Castellans will improve and over a number of levels you will really see the difference.

After an attack there is always a cooldown period based on a castles rank.

Alliance Contracts:

Now to the real meat of the subject: Alliance Contracts. As an alliance you will be presented with eight contracts. You will compete together to complete these, just like a normal quest, and every completed contract will earn you one point of war effort. At the end of the event the alliances will be ranked on how much war effort they have earned. Rewards will be granted at the end of the event and will comprise of our alliance currencies that can be used to purchase new Temporary Alliance Buffs. There are three of these and they mainly affect events.

Difficulty level:

Daimyo GeneralWe have pitched this add-on to the Samurai Invasion deliberately higher than previous events. As mentioned before the first rank of difficulty for  castle is roughly equivalent to the highest rank of difficulty in the Samurai Invasion. The difficulty of Township defence isn’t easily comparable but don’t expect it to be a pushover! Legion of the Daimyos has four difficulty ranks for castles and townships. If you do attack a rank four castle you would be well advised to ensure that you have the absolute best set of equipment possible.
