Topic: [76420] Next Weeks Update: The Capitals have arrived!

Strong and mighty armies march, soldiers fight for every inch and use tools and resources to aid them on their way to reaching their goal. Never has the world map of Empire been as alive as it is today. There can only be one reason:
The Capital!
Is your alliance strong enough to capture one of these rare cities and then build a glorious palace?
Will it be you that watches as the smaller, less powerful alliances try to penetrate your thick walls?
Try your luck and maybe you will soon be the King of the Kingdom and build new troops that could only befit a true King.
But the price is high!
Millions of resources must be sent in order to build this palace and thousands of troops will be needed to defend it.
Those that are going at it alone, this is a battle you will surely lose because the Capital can only produce food. The needed stone and wood you will have to receive from your allies. But beware of traitors! If the owner of the palace leaves the alliance, then you will lose all the benefits and all of the resources you have sent!
In order to better protect your Capital, you can station supportive troops here for a longer period of time and see incoming attacks earlier. If your palace becomes too destroyed then you will no longer be able to recruit the special troops. In addition, there is obviously the possibility to conquer the capital!
These capitals have now become an integral part of Empire, and will not be just an event. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to put this in the related discussion thread in the Forum.
Also with this update, we are introducing a new building:
The Training Grounds!
The training grounds is a new, upgradable premium building. Now you can let your troops fight against each other in the training area, which will also allow you to recruit faster.
Since armies will be growing faster, you can now also upgrade your guard tower to level 2. You will be able to detect incoming attacks faster!

The update is due to take place tomorrow (04.09.12) between 8.30 and 11.30am. AS always there will be a short down time while the game is updated.
