Dear Community,
As you probably noticed we introduced a new update on the servers this past Wednesday.
The announcement was well received and we are glad that you all like the new resources, changes to Berimond as well as the many other adaptations.
As with every other update, we have corrected several problems:
Here is a list of all changes made:
• Event Kingdom – Capture – Errorcode 97 MISSING_COMMANDER
• Alliance-Inquiry – Applications with paragraphs showed <br /> instead.
• Colossus Event – Players with Cyrillic or Greek letters could not be found.
• Resource Villages – The links to your own villages were not shown on the world map.
• Event Coast of Blades – Quest – After completing the event the first quest appeared in the quest book after a relog.
• Travelling Knight – Lower Version – Rewarded not received if player reaches level 18 while completing the event.
• Quest Book – Incorrect tooltip for bookmarks of the different kingdoms.
• Event Kingdom – Shadow units used for the final attack of the completion of the event “dies” and are incorrectly classified.
• Alliance – Members List – Distance is wrongly displayed.
• Equipment – Unique items were not counted for the achievement “well equipped.”
• Outpost – During the occupation, Castellan equipment bonuses did not work.
• Prime Action – Display and cost displayed incorrectly, also incorrect ruby worth deducted.
• Native Village Ruins – Resources contributed before the server down time result in a reset and villages cannot level up.
• Research and Equipment - Resource bonus counts for gold also.
This last error has had a large impact on the game play strategy of many players.
We would like to apologise for the lack of information beforehand, but we were not expecting it to have such a big impact on the community. However, it seems that quite a few players have adapted their strategy and regarded gold as a resource, despite the fact that it actually is currency.
This correction will not be undone, and so we are kindly asking for your understanding. The reason for this is explained below:
Empire is a game with its own economic system. The expenditure of gold or resources must be in proper proportion to the return; otherwise some items in the game will lose their value and therefore destroy the entire game balance.
The gold revenue is regulated by taxes, looting and other options. Unfortunately, an error in the research and equipment occurred. The effect should affect only the plunder of resources (wood, stone, food and new resources.)
In a routine check of battle reports we noticed that this bonus also applies to gold.
This problem had an effect on the whole economic system because some items and buildings completely lost their value and so the long term balance was seriously affected.
With today’s down time (April 4, 3013) we corrected another mistake. The marauder should now have an impact on gold looted once more.
Best regards
Your Empire Team
