i think there should be a more open way of suggesting what you want to see in the game. I personally would like to see cavalry units and artillery that you can use to intercept incoming attacks.

The forums are just fine for sharing suggestions, the CM's maybe doesn't read everything, but a few bumps, does the job.
Intercept incoming attacks? It sounds interesting and could be good, but also bad, as it would be a extra layer of defense making it much harder to attack players. Could you develop your idea a bit further about intercepting incoming attacks?

But I don't know coins mine & ruby were also there so,....
We already have horses for speed. You want them to increase in power of the troop?
Please elaborate the horses thing
artillery units do what? They bring down walls. We have tools for that
This idea is a big no for me.

I think they had one in the old forum, but I think the artillery/cavalry units could be good.

Yes the intercepting attacks was all over the old forum and where all turned down as the defender always has a bonus against attackers as the attacker can only send 2 tool slots per flank were the defender can put up to 5 on the flanks also they have a moat meaning the attacker can go wall and moat tools but the defender can put wall, moat and ranged so they always have the better chance so why would you make it even easier for them? Intercepting attacks also raises the question what units would you use? Defenders as you are defending your castle in a sense or attackers as you are attacking an attack so to speak? This is an all round bad idea and yes is on the not to suggest list for a very good reason. The thought of artillery well there are ballista's and the onager looking things that reduce wall and increase glory so we really already have artillery tools in the game. Cavalry? how would that even work? cavalry units would obviously already have horses so that makes the stable useless... Cavalry are mounted soldiers on horses so when in the attack screen and you choose to send them do they use the stables? I would guess not as that would mean a horse from the stables and on top of that another horse and on top of that horse a soldier... Very logical almost as silly as wolfhounds riding horses. But hey GGS logic anything's possible...

other things that make it a bad idea
-what happens if the defender losses the intercept battle? does it go on to fight the real battle with no tools and fewer troops, or does it just return to base with out doing what you sent it to do?
can alliance members intercept? if so how would you ever land a hit on large alliances who could intercept dozens of attacks with ease?
what if the attacker loses the intercept battle? how fair is that to him, that he tries to attack a target but due to some major game change rule, his army can be put down without even trying outside the castle?
would your castellan stats count in the battle (if your the defender intercepting) or would it be a commander stats who mattered since your sending troops out to fight? and if its the commander then what if you would need to send out defense troops?
all around bad idea, people just need to defend and deal wth it. either build a fire caste or learn some better defense strats.

some people call me negativeKing Jupiter (GB1) said:Furture, why do you have to bring your negative vibes everywhere you go?
others say im a pessimist
i have also been called a bad influence and a dream crusher
i prefer to think of myself as a realist. if i see a problem, i will point it out. i dont want 1/2 cooked ideas thrown into the game. if you can show me a well thought out proposal that keeps things fair and does not just change the game to make it easier for a certain group of people, then i would say i like it. but since most people post ideas without considering everything, there are often large holes that need patching
i dont point out the problems to say we can never do it, i want to show you what the issues are so you can fix them. once they are fixed, i have no problem with the idea
can you imagine if these people tried to implement and idea in a government?
"yeah we should give tax breaks to this small group that makes up .05% of the nations population, for some dumb reason or another, mostly cause im in that group and want a tax break"
"yeah we should allow people to own RPGs and tanks and missiles and land mines. no problems with that. and there should not be laws against using said weaponry in public"
"can we lock people up for disagreeing with me? im all knowing and all those other idiots should not be running around free"
of course king jupiter, we can do it your way, and allow every bad idea to go into the game without anyone stopping to say what a problem it might cause.

It's KJ actually, Furchair,(Oops, I mean Furture). My way isn't to allow every bad idea in the game without anyone mentioning it, my way is that you soften the blow a bit instead of saying 'All round bad idea', instead you could say 'It's an interesting idea but it has a lot of flaws/faults as this gives the same idea but isn't as 'full on' as 'all round bad idea'.

so instead of outright saying its bad and has lots of flaws, you want me to say interesting, but it has a lot of flaws. if i think its bad i will say it, i dont sugar coat thingsKing Jupiter (GB1) said:It's KJ actually, Furchair,(Oops, I mean Furture). If there was actually something inside that hollow head of yours, Furchair, you would've realised that on some of my posts/threads I put KJ at the bottom, And by the way, my forum name is King Jupiter, not king jupiter, that just looks plain weird (just like someone I know). It's better to sugar coat things than to spit on it, makes people like you more than they could. Oh, and I forgot, you really need to improve your punctuation.

yes, you put KJ at the bottom of your posts, but that is also just the initials of your forum name, so i apologize for not being psychic and not realizing that the way you address your self is how you wish for us all to address you. silly me thinking that i should call someone what it says in their name box. i guess my head was to hollow to realize that your forum name is not actually a name. oh wait a second....King Jupiter (GB1) said:Making up a whole new name for you?! and my not capitalizing 2 letters, and you making a new name with a totally different spelling are 2 different things.
and whether or not its better to sugar coat things is an opinion. i never said it was better to do it my way, and trying to force an opinion on someone is pretty dumb.
as for my punctuation, perhaps you should stop calling the kettle black?
1-the bold print in the quote- you used a comma, but capitalized after that? you capitalize at the start of a sentence, not after a comma. you should have put a period there my friend
2-while on the subject of grammar and punctuation, take a look at the part i italicized. you call that sentence structure?
there is a difference between being writing for a college level english class, and posting something on the forums. so i apologize, professor, for not meeting your standards. i thought that making it clear and reasonable was ok, but i guess i will have to do better for you next time (sarcasm)

Anyone with a brain would realise I would want to be called KJ if it's what I put at the bottom of my posts, not capitalizing starts of names, that's kids stuff, everyone should at least do that. I think you mean, trying to make someone pretty dumb more likeable by making suggestions is pretty clever, not trying to force an opinion on someone is pretty dumb. Sorry mister fancy pants but I created that signature at 4am in the morning when I was signing out so I was pretty tires and wasn't paying much attention to anything (except my kick-ass comm that I created at level 36 which could burn you to scraps and my looting which was better than a lvl 70 who is the leader of CORDA DRACONUM and just under someone in BSK-AlliedOrder, home to some of the best players on the server XD.) The last of your comments, pfff, I can't reply to something so foolish. I'm gonna stop wasting my time with you Furchair because you really aren't worth it, at all.furture (US1) said:yes, you put KJ at the bottom of your posts, but that is also just the initials of your forum name, so i apologize for not being psychic and not realizing that the way you address your self is how you wish for us all to address you. silly me thinking that i should call someone what it says in their name box. i guess my head was to hollow to realize that your forum name is not actually a name. oh wait a second....King Jupiter (GB1) said:Making up a whole new name for you?! I personally would not mind having 'calvary' units to intercept incoming attacks, because depending on what type of attack it is, you can save a lot of rubies or whatnot. Tool raking attacks, for example. Have one of these attacks sent, and if you are lucky, you do not have to waste time taking down tools or wasting rubies on tools.

yea sounds cool, no doesnt work.
Speed of attack is dictated by slowest unit, often 28 with buoulders or SW's.
So you an have faster units riding horsies but your still sending it based on the speed of the slowest tool.
I would like to see veteran KG units. We have vet everything else, make it so the cap has a real bonus in defense enabling the recruitment of vet KG's. I think we used to be able to get KG defenders with glory rankings, bringing this back and making the cap enable vet KG's would be a real bonus.
future, summed up other stuff pretty much on the dot.....
