Sure, I got a little bit of spare time this morning. I'll argue this point for the hell of it.

First off, let's post the full definition of 'cheap shot' that you acquired off the first page of Google. "any mean or unsportsmanlike remark or action, especially one directed at a defenseless or vulnerable person." So in order for an attack on a 'defenseless or vulnerable person' to be considered a cheap shot, the first part of the definition must also be true. 

Nothing done during a war is mean, it's simply playing the game. The whole 'sport' of war is to attack each other and kill troops so there's nothing unsportsmanlike about it. Unsportsmanlike can be defined as 'violating the generally accepted rules of conduct.' I think killing troops in a war is generally accepted and it's definitely not breaking the GGS rules. I've never heard of a war where these types of attacks were considered unfair. A synonym of unsportsmanlike is dishonorable... well if you look at the snipe attacks posted above, every single battle besides one js gained honor (from the wins at least) so I think you could definitely call those battles honorable Just because the attacks were going to vulnerable places, doesn't mean they are 'cheap shots.' Cheap shots also require a mean or unsportsmanlike action, which is basically nothing in a game that is designed to just attack the crap out of each other 

One last note, if you could direct me to where Patriot said you didn't call it a strategy it would be much appreciated. Don't see the relevance of your last post whatsoever.

Defenseless and vulnerable doesn't apply either.  You can bird your troops, get on and move them, or try to defend.  

Unless you're inactive, you have at least one of these three options regardless of your player size.  You don't end up on a thread like this if you're diligent about birding your troops during war. 

Not to comment on the skill of people getting sniped, you could get up to take a shit and in 5 minutes you come back to your troops gone.  Happens to the best of us.  Doesn't change the fact that you had all the power to prevent it from happening but you didn't.  

I'd agree that sniping outside of war is for phaggots that can't send real hits or are afraid to send real hits, as snipes are intended to find offense so hitting a random player's offense is simply just being a cock which is essentially what being unsportsmanlike boils down to.
