Guess who tripped and fell into another war?
But this time with someone a bit more our level (despite various accusations of 'bullying'!).
Background
Foxx was just one of those alliance, y'know? Small, non-descript, not especially noteworthy, much like our own rag-tag crew. It began in April (I think), as a simple case of auto-war being on when one of our members attacked theirs or them attacking us or however that works. To clarify, it was THEIR autowar. When I solo founded TLD, I found out the hard way keeping auto on wasn't the best idea.
Anyway, seeing as it was Auto, I didn't consider it a legitimate declaration and awaited the peace treaty surely on it's way. And when it didn't come, I offered up my own, which was rejected and followed by several pvp battles between my guys and them largely instigated by them. I vastly outlevel everyone in FOXX, so my participation was practically non-existent (save one attack on their leader, a lvl 44, for hitting one of our teen-lvl players). And so has been the case up until recently: Their leader contacted me about one of my members repeat sabotaging them. Between that message and the beginning of the War, at least one more treaty for peace was attempted and rejected since we were still at war.
I pointed this out to the Leader, told them i wasn't really sure what they expected (and maybe to just build more guardhouses). Since we were at war, apparently actively on their part, when it came to daily spy and sabo quest, they would take priority over neutral targets. The guy wasn't trying to hear any of that, and they just threatened to get a stronger player to retaliate on their behalf at me even though I...wasn't involved lol. So, sure enough some lvl 70-800 is breathing down my neck. "Leave little players alone", "Why're you trying to get them to quit", ect. Similarly, this guy wasn't trying to hear anything I was saying, convinced his friend was in the right. I was annoyed I'd gotten dragged into this, so I did send out a MM telling everyone to ceasefire, at least until some kind of diplomacy was reached.
There was none. FOXX offered a 0% tribute, which I rejected because of the trouble they were causing me. I offered them 3 peace treaties, with demands for 15%, then 7%, then just 5-3%, and finally I offered to let them offer whatever so long as it wasn't zero. All of those peace attempts were rejected, none of my DMs were answered. The lvl 70-800 backed off after I told him I'd ordered my guys to stand down for the time being, but fastforward to yesterday.
While perusing the map, I notice a Foxx member is in the process of claiming an OP close to where my and my allies congregate. It also happens to be a ruin OP i've been farming. Since I've basically written FOXX off as a bunch of troublemakers better off playing Farmville, I naturally don't want their properties anywhere near mine or my allies. Our rules usually prevent attacks on OPs, RVs, ect. but in times of war, some or all of these rules may be waived if we see reason to do so. FOXX has shown no qualms Sabotaging and attacking our OPs, and I think iit's only fair we give as good as we get.
So, I kicked their forces off the OP so that it was unoccupied and further decided the OP would serve TLD better than FOXX. Now, apparently im the odd opinion out on this but I don't consider an OP in the process of being cap'd truly owned. It's contested at best, so after pointing them to a similar big field (and far away) OP, I continued preventing their forces from occupying it. Enter the 70-800, plus another 70-70 that Foxx has gone and cried to, conveniently leaving out the part where all attempts at peace had been rejected, all DMs un-responded to. Even if kicking them off an OP is stealing it, I've mentioned before our rules can suspend during war. That lvl 70-800 launched an attack on my Ice Castle and even though it failed, it sealed the deal. I was open to just leaving the issue alone, but now I'm not.
Currently, that 70-800 has joined Foxx as a deputy. They've sent 3 Espis, or at least 3 I've caught, but so far, no developments. The OP has not been re-occupied; my alliance member's Capture attack is about 6 hours out.
We'll see what drama unfolds!

Update: Two of the 70-Legendaries have apparently decided FOXX wasn't worth helping. My guy's outpost was stuffed with 1.5k guys and wiped overnight, but before either TLD or FOXX could re-cap it, someone from The Cold Truth set up shop there.
I have friends in TCT, and since they're appreciably beefy, I had no qualms with them taking the OP. So long as FOXX doesn't get it. Since FOXX's members whine even when they're attacked by 10 lvl range players, I doubt they're going to try and win the OP back. I'm currently in Bird mode (staring down the barrel of 3 70 legendaries, didnt want my wallet weeping trying to fend them off) but i'm monitoring the situation. The 70-800 is probably not going to be too keen on facing down a lvl 50 alliance by himself lololol
I've given my members the go ahead to crush FOXX for being absolute pains in the butt lately, so I expect more cry mail soon. Since they're lvl 70 buddies wont be able to touch me for 2 weeks, I'm curious what underhanded crap they'll try next...

Well the level 70s cant actually really do anything to yall, without screwing over their honour that is. That messes up their glory boost and ability to get titles for a while. I think its more of a culture the server manifested. As usual, there was alot of turmoil in the beginning and for the most part, we take our promises of loyalty to our allies seriously. We all remember this is a game but the people are real.

I don't know what to make of it, I haven't spoken to her since she quit and we didn't exactly leave on the best terms. She's been back to the game for a couple weeks and I was rather curious what she was up to. Hadn't realized she joined an alliance though
