So what soldiers are put on the front line when defending?  The strongest defenders or the weakest? Which ones are sacrificed first?

I believe that the best defense troops are placed on the wall first. Depending on your melee/ranged ratio, different amounts of troops will be on the wall.

Don't bump threads.... And yes, troops are put on the wall based on which has the stronger primary strength...
