I've been gone for a while, and not that I'm back, I note that with the ruby doubler, the fact that level 1 bakeries only give 5% discount on food, and that crane giving a whole new construction slot, I ask this:
Is the crane more important than the bakery for new players to buy?

crane is better than bakery.u can upgrade 2 buildings in a same time.

I say bakery is better than a crane because bakery helps you with your men,whereas crane is just waste of rubies and just building extra buildings after the other one is built, they don't build the same time. You can just come online again to upgrade another building which don't cost you rubies.

Indeed Sameehah, the extra building slot opened by the crane just queues up behind the current slot so it doesn't actually build anything until the first open slot has finished. So if you are good at timing your building you can perform the same function without the crane.
the extra slot has only 2 benefits, that i can see, in that you can build an extra building while offline by queueing and you can quickly interrupt the building in the first slot to upgrade a tower or wall in response to an attack, etc. (only at low levels where things are built quickly or if you can throw rubies at it in higher levels to auto complete)

it depends.
the bakery costs like 600 rubies for a level 1, where as the construction crane costs like 7100, meaning with the rubies you would use for the construction crane, you could make a bakery level 3-4. a level 4 bakery would offer roughly 200-300 more men at a full level food OP, with just farm houses.
so if your active and once your at a high level, those 200-300 troops will be worth alot. but for a lower level, a bakery wont help as much. so for now, i would say just save the rubies up until you decide.
and if your active and a good player and farm lots of forts and such for rubies, you can eventually end up with both.

or you can build a drill groud (several) for the same price
or make a hospital level like 6-7
or get a fire station
or if your being dumb about it, just build a crap ton of ruby deco.

Even though a crane unlocks building slots, you still can only build one item at a time. Personally I don't use cranes. Bakery, drill ground, watchtower, hospital and master builder are far more important buildings, in my opinion. Also, we now have skip times, so finishing construction is easier and faster.

Alright...
Yes the crane is good! It is good when you are a low lvl, (lvl 0-60) However once you hit lvl 60-70 that crane will be a waste, it wont be as useful anymore. Yes bakery is better than the crane, you want maximum troop capacity in your castles and that bakery will push the limits and allow you to carry a larger army.
The bakery is more useful and has a much higher value.
However everyone have their own play style, if you like having large armys then the bakery will be perfect for you.
But if you are more of the guy who wants to build and develop your castles fast, then the crane will serve you well.

getting rubies from leveling up=weak
farming RBCs and forts gets you way more, especially around level 30+ when yous tart to slow down on your leveling up

we dont need to buy rubies.we have to save rubies.if we attacked barbarian prince,higher lvl robber barons,cultist towers we can gain more rubies.
